I'm using Tufo Thundero gravel tires (700x44). on my Turbo Vado SL 5.0 (non-eq). No issues at all. Plenty of clearance riding on rocky Colorado roads. I noticed the new SL2 uses 47mm tires.

Vado SL 5.0 with one range extender

I tried 40/100 on my ride today. Seemed to work fairly well in the flats. 1-2 miles per % of battery. Then I hit the hills. Had to use turbo in some spots. Only had about 20% left combined main + RE.

How do you decide on 55/55 or 35/100? I'm assuming you have 55/55 on Sport and 35/100 on Eco?

Yeah Mirrycle. Maybe just different body geometry. BTW, not sure why you say it is the safest position? Mirrycle has it the other way on their web-site.

I noticed you have your mirror facing down. I usually have mine facing up, but tried it this way last week. Seems more aerodynamic, but my arm is always in the way of the mirror unless I move my head around. Do you have trouble with it like this?

I talked to Specialized customer service on the phone and they said that they thought the firmware update capability was coming to the new app at some point. It just wasn't there yet.
