Difference between adventure and touring cycling?

Not long ago, few years before the pandemic all these motos (and more) below fit inside my 1.5 car garage. 20 some years ago, I did much of my dirt, desert, track & ice riding. Some rare dirt bikes I've owned. This was adventure touring when you have flames between your legs. 30+...

Difference between adventure and touring cycling?

Nearly 25 years on motorcycles, these are the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) bikes that I keep in my garage these days. Done many trips on my Chinese Cub 125cc Lifan engine. Doesn't matter how hard I abuse that engine, still runs in extreme conditions. My 2004 Ninja 250 cost me $450 to...

Current etrike offerings and buying tips

Have you got any riding experience with these wonderful e-trikes of yours to share? Any pictures? Any experience transporting them with your car or truck? Why do you always have to bring up the naysayers or jealousy in your posts? Leave those comments out, please; they contribute nothing to the...

Difference between adventure and touring cycling?

As a teen in the 80's, I pedaled across the NA Continent from Seattle, WA to Ocean City, MD on a Huffy 10-speed packed with 30-40 lb. of camping gear. To me, just about any bike can do touring; whether you can tour comfortably or efficiently is prioritized differently for each rider. If there is...

Another good review for the Lectric XP Trike. XP Trike fitted inside the hatch of my 2010 Prius, with plenty of room to carry more stuff.

    Which carbon fiber toilet seat?

According to the video: It takes 15 MILLION trees a year to produce 36,5M rolls of TP, each roll of TP uses 37 gallon of water to produce. Usage of bidet reduces the consumption of trees & water.

I think I understand New York's ebike fire problem a little better now.

Does any of those 3 look like it had been an explosion or ignited to start a massive fire? Would the plastic part of the battery still be intact if the battery did explode? I'd imagine the fire would have melted the plastic parts & tires from all the e-bikes in a lithium fire.

I think I understand New York's ebike fire problem a little better now.

Let's not forget that plenty of electrical grid within NYC metro can be over 100 years old and still operating to supply modern day electrical demands; like super-sized washer/dryer, microwaves, dishwashers, heater, A/C units, electrical cookers, etc. I've been commuting on my (folding) bicycle...

Encinitas City Council declares emergency for e-bikes, bicycles

I've been commuting on my (folding) bicycle & e-bike in NYC traffic since 2013. I've come close many times of getting hit in traffic, only once I got T-boned in the rain, low light visibility by and SUV that ran a stop sign; killed my folding bike, but I walked away with minor bruises & sore...

How to ride in the smoke.

"Destroying any nation does not involve the use of atomic bombs or long-range missiles.. It only requires lowering the quality of education and allowing cheating in the examinations by the students. Patients die at the hands of such doctors. Buildings collapse at the hands of such engineers...
