Propane is an option, but I haven't come across a natural gas powered generator in my search for a stand alone house unit.

    First e bike on order

Good choice. 👍 My wife has a Photon. I've taken it for a couple of short rides and I like it. She loves having a throttle.

I wonder if Specialized is planning to ever offer a road version.

    Kindernay goes Kaput

I'm lucky, I guess, because I ordered extra gear oil a while back, because it was hard to get. My hub didn't leak until I did a hard ride (while riding on pavement) hitting 1500-1700W a number of times. Right after that the hub started to leak.

Kindernay VII IGH and HYSEQ Onesie shifter

I suspect their demise was helped along by their inability to solve their hub's leaking problem.

    Kindernay goes Kaput

I guess I won't have to worry about sending my Kindernay hub all the way back to Germany when it falls again. I should have seen the writing was on the wall when riders had their leaking hubs replaced only to have them start leaking again. If (probably more like when) my hub starts...

Re-greasing the Ultra motor...is it time?

That's what I plan on doing with my UC Pro's motor, with it's worn gears.

    New Schwalbe Tires

I've heard good things about Flat Out. I recently put it in my commuter and mountain ebikes. I can't comment on how effective it is because I haven't put many miles on my bikes since the install.

    GostPathAsketPro-FazuaRide60

That's a significant improvement over the original motor.

With the Ride60 do you still have to take the battery out to turn it on?

Scott Solace 20 eRide after 3 Months

I fellow I ride with has the Trek Domane+ with the TQ motor. He had the same chain drop problem that you had and after the bike shop and a Trek regional tech did multiple changes to the front shifter they ended up installing the 105 front derailleur (he also has Di2) and the bike is now...

Recreational rider's first 100 miles on the Zen Photon – a detailed review

I don't understand the logic of your post. Are you saying that I have to purchase a new handlebar so I can install a mirror? The Photon is new and I'm sure you'll make changes to the bike as you get feedback from people who have purchased your product, but showing me a way to solve the mirror...

DOST bikes - the (very) good and the (appalingly) bad

From what I've read on this forum I wouldn't recommend anyone purchasing a bike or bike accessories from DOST. I think they're in financial trouble and wouldn't be surprised if they cease operations in the near future, which is a real shame.

Recreational rider's first 100 miles on the Zen Photon – a detailed review

One of the few items that my wife dislikes about her new Photon is the grips, or more specifically the fact that a bar end mirror can't be added to the stock Photon grips and putting a bar mirror on the bike is near impossible, because the throttle and display take up the bar spaced needed to...

    Don’t do Dost

Bike companies are being hit hard with the economic downturn. Unfortunately, I think DOST is one of those small companies that's on the verge of bankruptcy, or already finished. I hope you get a full refund.

Recreational rider's first 100 miles on the Zen Photon – a detailed review

I have a set of Argon grips (short and long). I've put the regular length side on the left, so I could install an end mirror, but I didn't switch the right side, because I wasn't sure if the Argon short grip would work properly with the Photon's shifter.

@gladiataar, do you have a mirror on your Photon?

The new Bosch SX motor/battery would make for a light, interesting e-road bike.
