    thoughts/suggestions on bike work stands

I saw this on another forum. It’s a bit expensive, but could be worth the investment for a person with multiple bikes to service. https://www.topeak.com/us/en/product/1513-PREPSTAND-eUP-PRO

Cane Creek eeSilk Suspension Stem and Seat Post

After putting about 2300 miles onto to eeSilk Carbon seat post, I moved it along to my Carbon acoustic gravel bike and replaced it with an alloy eeSilk+. The Carbon post is and has always been silent. The alloy plus model groans and snaps a bit. I will be taking it apart and adding some...

    Rode my acoustic today.

My comment was just meant as a caution. The frame on that bike could very well be made ate the same facility as Canyon or Specialized, I just wouldn’t take the chance. Just as an informational note, Canyon ships this Grizl with a 30mm spacer stack beneath the stem. I think that they advertise...

    Rode my acoustic today.

Not all carbon frames are good, or even safe. There is a lot of science and testing that goes into the design and manufacture of a carbon frame. Sometimes taking a chance on a bargain bike can cost more in the end, (and be dangerous). I still ride my Wilier Carbon road bike and my Canyon...

How to ride in the smoke.

I heard that it was because you guys didn’t rake the forest floor. 🙄 Sorry, I know that its not funny.

If I Only Knew Before I Bought a Kommoda

Yamaha’s key is for removing the battery only. I think that a key as an on switch would be annoying for many and still allow the bike to be pedaled away by a thief, (or just get put into the back of a truck).

    Bikes that are not bikes

These mini bike type ebikes are a pretty common phenomenon these days. I think that there will be a lot of buyers remorse if the laws are ever enforced, but that doesn’t seem likely. They are unlikely to have much affect on eBiking in general unless a panicked citizen or official groups us all...

Yamaha warranty. Something to consider. "Frame made wrong"

My wife’s Yamaha Cross Core developed a creaking sound when braking. I was able to isolate it to the steerer tube. I took it to our Yamaha ebike dealer and they confirmed that it was the steerer tube, (the steerer tube is an interference fit to the crown and if the fit is not adequate, it will...

    Groundbreaking Trike?

That’s ok. I’m late to the party. He can argue about the government’s laws, but there is no getting around the laws of physics. The world is full of Flat Earthers and people that think that three wheels are stable and force vectors are a left wing conspiracy. The only thing that will be...

Addmotor's new mid drive 1000W split rear differential trike

In case you are talking to me, I did not accuse you of anything. I simply asked if you were getting something for your extremely enthusiastic and over the top promotion of Addmotor. So, are you ETrike on another forum, (I hope that there aren’t two of you).

Addmotor's new mid drive 1000W split rear differential trike

So Dash, or ETrike, or whoever you are, do you get something back from Addmotor? You sound a bit like you are advertising for them.

    Diamondback vs Yamaha?

Just so that potential Yamaha customers know, any Yamaha dealer, including motorcycle shops are required by Yamaha to perform warranty work on Yamaha ebikes. The Wabash RT has some interesting software with an “Automatic Support Mode”. It’s also a Class 3 and has a three year warranty...

How's the bike infrastructure where you ride?

New Hampshire tends to be a state where you are on your own in pretty much every way. I love the countryside, mountains and lakes, but in my opinion, the New Hampshire attitude could use a little adjustment toward kindness. Vermont tends to be much kinder and more progressive. That said, this...

It’s hard to rate what doesn’t exist. The nearest bike lane is 25 miles away.

2023 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

Here is a little footage from Northern New England. Our bright blue skies are being replaced with smoke from our neighbors to the north. Sorry, the footage is on a fully manual machine, but it did have my Garmin.
