    Changes to my RadRover

I like the good sense of humor by most on this forum!

    Chain coming off

@MarkP I'm not sure. The tech pulled it off the shelf, installed it, adjusted it, and threw the box away.

    Chain coming off

@MarkP It works fine for 7 speeds on mine. Just get it adjusted right before you ride out for the first time. A bike stand helps with this. The stock Acera derailer works for 8 speeds as well, not just 7.

    Chain coming off

@MarkP Go with the Shimano Claris. It is night and day better than the stock one. The one that ships on the bike is flimsy and causes problems. Check at your LBS or on eBay. I found one for under $25 on eBay. Mine was 100% free from my LBS just because I had a horrible experience the first time...

Radwagon worked for 5 miles :(

@Ann M. @highway320 What the amin said is true. I always advocated my customers working on their own bikes when I had my motorcycle shop, but advised them that if something was too technical, take their vehicle to the pros. Your LBS may be able to help, but if they don't deal regularly with...

Rad Rover side-lined by motor issue

@totalnovice Hopefully they will send you the Bafang RM G06.750.DC motor like on my 2016 RR because it is one hell of a motor. Torquey and fast! I can blast up hills doing almost 20 and clost to 25 on the flats.

Radwagon worked for 5 miles :(

@highway320 It's time to go back to basics. I'm a motorcycle tech with over 15 years experience. Troubleshooting is the hardest skill to learn and it's difficult to resist the urge to become a "parts changer" instead of diagnosing the issue. Also, buy a good multi-meter (doesn't have to be...

    BBSHD installed in my Radrover

I just ordered my BBSHD today!

    Bafang G06 hubmotor kit

@harryS Very nice! I think I will buy a Kent fatbike to swap all my Radrover stuff to when I install the BBSHD on it next week. Great build!

Rad Rover side-lined by motor issue

@Mark in CA The motor differs from 2015 -2016. The 2016 has a sealed, geared Bafang 750W unit. The 2015 has an unsealed hub motor from Hangtai. Maybe this is your difference?

(2016) - Standard water bottle bracket?

@Mark in CA I was thinking of doing the same with mine as well

(2016) - Standard water bottle bracket?

@SpiderDice Check under the frame too. I found two bolts under the lower frame rail which should allow for a water bottle bracket as well. I would be worried about a bracket mounted at the spot in your photo interfering with steering control and posing a safety issue.

    Changes to my RadRover

@SpiderDice @thatdude902 A black or white can of Plastidip that you could spray on would work well too. Several coats would cover and you can always peel it off if you didn't want it on the frame anymore. A can costs less than $8. I use the stuff all the time and it works wonders.

    Pulled the trigger..

@SpiderDice I wish I could help you, but I have no experience with such things. If it were a motorcycle, I would be your guy. I would email or call RPB and ask for an exploded parts diagram of the assembly. What used to be viewed on a micro fiche in the motorcycle industry. They should be able...

    Pulled the trigger..

@Jolly I sent them a very long email when mine arrived as well in which I was visibly upset. We should have to pay $1499 for our bikes and $1`74 shipping just to have it trashed. That may not be a lot of money to some, but to me it is. I saved for 2 years to own an ebike again and I chose the...

    Pulled the trigger..

@SpiderDice @thatdude902 I had the same rubber door issue on my old battery case and was going to suggest the same. Funny thing is that the case from BMS battery doesn't need to have something small like a screwdriver push the door in. Maybe these cases have more than one manufacturer. The power...

    Changes to my RadRover

@NinjaNick The gurus on the endless sphere forum recommended this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007AI1LGW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I won't hold my breath, but it's worth a shot.

    Changes to my RadRover

@SpiderDice The tires and tubes were installed ok. They were unable to do the casette because of the wire coming out of the hub. I have a special tool coming in Wednesday to see if that will work. I will post pictures if successful.

    Pulled the trigger..

@SpiderDice Enjoy! And let us know what kind of shape it's in when it arrives and if everything works ok. It would be wise to go over the whole bike and make sure that everything is tight and adjusted correctly.
