    What shoes do you wear...

Initially that's why I chose them, ( hiking) but what they excelled at, was riding my St2. The confidence they provide for ankle support on that occasional foot plant to catch your balance, is excellent. Super lightweight, they feel great. Best I've tried. Also if you have a wide foot ,you will...

    What shoes do you wear...

Keen Yoyagers , you will be amazed. I bought another pair REI. THE BEST!. Worthless on the trail hiking ( you feel every pebble). Key features are very light, great ankle support, design across front allows extra flex when peddling, soles provides great grip on Stromer platforms for stand up...

    Riding the new ST2 s

Thanks Bluecat for the video of the St2s. What a Wonderfull Bike !. Forgot his protective eyewear though. An Oak acorn fell and hit my lense the other day, would have been my eye without mine on.

    ST2 seat

I'm at 203 lbs.with a Brooks B-17 Imperial ( with a slit in the middle) and a thudbuster LT suspension seatpost on an St2, and very pleased with the ride. I know what you mean about the OEM seat. If yours slides down, just put some graphite paste on the seat post. Congrats on the St2.

    defunct

Outside Amsterdam going down the freeways a good distance from the road is an asphalt bike path about 10 ft. in width. With their own little thoroughfare , truely incredible! And about every 300 yrds. up on the freeway is a call box for help in emergencys. Real mind blower is seeing the white...

Thanks for the vid. I have the same Trikke T 12, in the same color . That shop is way cool ! Love my Trikke , really good workout . I'm covered head to toe when I ride with protective gear , even hip and tail pads. Those things are well made, aircraft aluminum, beautiful welds. Found some...

Some tasty upgrades to the ST2

I agree I've had my St2 for about a year, and I'm still amazed how this bike rides. By far my fav. And to be my 1st E-bike, just makes it even better. I rode about 30 different models at the Demo Expo, nothing shifted as crisp . Sure like your mods. Great job.

    How can I tell if I'm buying a 2015 or 2016 Stromer ST2?

Thanks Ravi , the new battery was something I might plan on getting, as I'm venturing further and used level one almost exclusively yesterday. Either Bionic legs or new battery on the horizon.

    Battery and "MOVE" questions

Kinda awkward using move mode, just takes alittle practice.

    Hanging your ebike

Thats the way Metro Rail wants bikes to ride. I won't do it either, not even with my Hybrid. Everything would fall out of my panniers anyway. So I have to stand and hold the bike. Pretty ridiculous. Harbor Freight makes a good hoist system, using ropes and pullies. That what I use for my...

    Battery and "MOVE" questions

Hi Bob, I used my St2 move mode 1st time up a slight incline. I'm assuming you are refering to the walk button on menu screen. I just press walk and adjust speed by the plus or minus buttons up on the right side by head light switch on handlebars. I think that's how I did it. Nice feature , I...

Stromer ST1 Review - The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

DT Swiss ( double butted) on the rear spoke, is what my St2 has. And I am running Jagwire (for magura ,semi-metallic) brake pads . Very pleased so far( about 50 miles ), big improvement over original pads.

    New Owner & Questions

Abus extra long folding lock $$$+ ( built like those folding rulers ). And a braided cable , long enough to go though both wheels and suspension seat post. Get some good USB ( head and tail )lights again $$$+, and backups if these fail. I have also turnsignals ( winglights on Amazon ). Nite...

Dynamo Hub lighting - On an e-bike?

I rode at night with no battery on my St2 for a few miles, as power got low so I shut off the assist. Was pleased to see The headlight was on and bright , even kept up with some road bikes with the weight of St2 on a slight downhill. Don't know if tail light was illuminated, still need to check...

How many gears do you use?

I use them all , wish I had more, constant changing on my St2. Still nice the way it is. Found some new routes today. Residential streets rule around here. No need to travel main roads. Just keep the speed down.

Anyone tried both an ST2 & A Kalkhoff S11 Integrale

Not enough time on Integrale to give an assessment. Houston Expo track only. Both high quality machines. I have an St2 and still blown away by this bike. Just used walk assist 1st time, as panniers were loaded, up a slight incline. Truely amazing feature.

    Sail powered trike

Don't know much about it but sure does look nice. Heard capable of 30 mph.! Looks to be unavailable in U.S.A. Produced in the Netherlands. Electric assist option 1 model. Or no sail and super nice lite recumbent. whike.com

What is your average speed on your ST2

I kinda have a heavy foot. Around 20 mph. I'd say, and often up the anti to 22 . Trying to adjust to level 2 assist, to save juice , but 3 is my fav.
