In this video from Interbike, at about 2:25 mark there's a 2015 Dash with a city kit attached. What's the holdup with selling them?

Anybody (CurrieTech?) know yet what it's going to include, for what price and most importantly, when? I'm trying to figure out here whether I should wait for it or start gathering accessories for the Dash I'm (hopefully) soon getting.

All those watts and watt hours but no throttle to use them with maximum flexibility.

That's the "Quant", right? Sorry, it's just a scam to fleece stupid investors. The telltale sign is that they claim to have a battery that "boasts five to six times the storage capacity of other flow cell designs or lithium-ion batteries" but instead of selling this revolutionary battery design...

I'm resurrecting this thread to ask: does anyone have any clue about a rain cape that could cover a backpack and a helmet? All the so called cycling rain capes and ponchos on amazon and elsewhere look like they have hoods that just fit over your bare head: what could be the logic in that? I'd...

AFAIK there's no way to just take a measurement of a battery to really determine amp-hours contained, all such metering devices just make a guess. Unless Currie's system is so advanced that the battery measures and saves a log of the amps going in when charging and that diagnostic then reports it...

The dealer here said that their Currie rep said that they're expecting the Dash to ship out on September 19th.

Has that design been improved in any way in the 2015 model or is it still the same?

I thought the lack of throttle especially in the case of the Bosch system was mostly because of European regulations that allow only pedal assist for bicycles; throttle mode would require registering it as something else.

Well, whaddayaknow, that selection looks quite a lot better now (although the descriptions are a little mixed up). I'm sure it's got nothing to do with my griping but quite a coincidence. :-)

What about the bottom bracket problem? Any improvement there?

REI is not selling Dash now at all and in any case their website says "IZIP bikes purchased on REI.com can only be shipped to the REI store of your choice for pickup". Many mainland stores don't ship ebikes here for any price because the shipping companies are cranky about the batteries in air...
