That’s a compression ring. It goes ”into” the top bearing. when tightening the top cap, make sure the stem is untightented. The top cap preloads the bearings by applying pressure to them, it shouldn’t be too tight. Tighten until you can’t move the spacers anymore with your hands and the wobble...

A lot do this..the throttle power is based on the pas level. So level 1 pas would give 7 to 10% power on both throttle and pedal assist.. check the ride1up forums or ask their support if it does that. but this is quite common

It is torque sensing and does bring on more power with pedaling. feels pretty natural aside from the second delay of motor kicking in. But he seems like he’s having some bigger issues if he can feel the motor at only 7pas and up (the throttles output is correlated to the pas setting)

I ordered a Bosch spoke magnet and will say which way the magnet is facing.. but for now I stuck a magnet in the existing spoke housing. I tried both faces and they both registered on the display.. you’re saying to face north toward the sensor right? I’m surprised there’s no info I googled...

That’s a headset dust cap. Its really cheap, maybe a few bucks. The whole headset with the bearings is 12$..just ask for a dust cap

Cadence just picks up how fast you’re spinning the pedals.. torque sensors pick up how much pressure you’re applying

I’m 6ft 180lbs and the bike takes off to 10mph on pas 1 without issues. on pas 9 its really torquey and snaps me back..I gotta lean into it. There is no grinding sounds but I greased everything and took half the bike apart. It is very torquey..check for voltage sag or see if you can go to a bike...

My magnet flew out of the spoke housing. i tested a magnet I’m about to mount, north and south pole facing the speed sensor…both sides register speed. does the the side of the magnet facing the speed sensor even matter?
