Haibike Radius Tour 200-ish mile review

Where did you get it? Now you have an extra battery also. It is an agile little bike. Actually I'm thinking about a Yamaha bike - probably a roadie. Just what I need 3 bikes!!!!! Will wait to see what 20's bring and any 19 year end discounts. Have a Yamaha LBS close by - great little...

Haibike Radius Tour 200-ish mile review

That's great Vincent! New one? It should have the VP F80 "flip" pedals (actually they separate and fold up and down). I like them much better then the Wellgo folding ones I have on my Radmini. Couple of things: 1. The seat tube is REALLY tight. My LBS and I did some deburring on the down...

Haibike Radius Tour 200-ish mile review

Here you go Vincent. Taking the wheel off really does make it easier. I also take the seat, battery and display off in addition to the wheel. I use some foam for protection. The bungees are used only when I'm just around the area to lessen any bouncing. On my long road trips I strap the...

Haibike Radius Tour 200-ish mile review

Vincent, I happened to be up. My Radius Tour is in my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek now - as it is most of the time - with the front wheel off. I did a rough measurement - 50 inches - laid on its side with the handle bars and pedals folded. I took the front fender off as it's a lot easier getting the...

"Homer Simpson" researching ebikes - long time, no ride...

Can't say what to get Tss. But you're moving to a bike Mecca. Great infrastructure. #3 per PeopleForBikes - even better than PDX. So would assume Eugene has some very good dealers - which IMO is vital. Love the Oakridge/Westfir area. Summit Lake - best kayak lake in the state. I really...

2018 Radmini for sale - Salem, Oregon

No longer available. Decided to keep it. Found some gravel/dirt trails close by, that are a real kick with this bike. So if I ride it only 500 miles a year, who cares. Plus I have a GREAT LBS (I bought my Haibike from them) that not only will service a Rad bike but are very willing to do so...

Haibike Radius Tour 200-ish mile review

Thanks for your input. BTW - I really like my Radius Tour. The only thing that bugs me is the pedal lock with the kick stand - but that's it. Love the Yamaha system. I haven't noticed the brake/torque issue. Will check it out this week. Thx. Also, I'm just down the road in Salem.

Top speed on the flat Yamaha Cross (Core or Connect)?

Exactly on StmbtDaves input. On my Haibikes older PW motor its also seamless. BTW- I rode the Wabash (and Core). Both are great bikes but the Wabash is one really great bike.

2018 Radmini for sale - Salem, Oregon

Selling my 2018 RadMini - only 350 miles. I use this bike almost exclusively on forest roads and dirt/gravel single tracks. Some miles on bikeways but this bike's primary home is my Jeep TJ, folded in the back. I actually like this bike, but I also have a little Haibike Radius Tour that...

Top speed on the flat Yamaha Cross (Core or Connect)?

Good question. I am looking at the same (#1)- both the the Cross and Urban Rush. My plans call for me to ride these tomorrow. If I do I'll update you. BTW - I do have a Haibike Yamaha Motor.

    Help with first time ebike

Agree with Thomas. And he knows this stuff. I just come from my user experience. My Radmini is more of a purpose bike for me and it's my only real long term experience with a Bafang system and it's rear hub. Forest roads, basic single track and really steep inclines. Much more powerful than...

    Help with first time ebike

Then fristiac I'd go ride the Yamaha and see how you feel about the dealer (big deal) and the bike(s). Yamaha motors are just different than Bafangs (I also have a RadMini that's actually folded in my Jeep TJ - it's only used to get deeper into the "boondocks" here in Oregon, not that my old...

    Help with first time ebike

https://www.yamahabicycles.com I have a Haibike with the "old" PW Yamaha Motor. Love it - you get out of it what you put into it (if that makes sense). But what I appreciate and respect about Yamaha is that they support the LBS and actually pay them on labor on warranty issue. Not that...

New Rad bike on 8/22, Radrunner

Hi Solom01. Yes some "scooters" can be a pain. But both the Metro and Ruckus are very reliable - both same 49cc. Hondas really have this motor down + their dealer network. And yes both can do 30 on the flat - easy. Actually the Metro is a touch "faster" than the Ruckus. Flat streets - 35...

New Rad bike on 8/22, Radrunner

Umm Solom01 - just a quick response on: "seems like competition to small gas scooters like the Honda Metropolitan, and compared to those it's quiet, probably a lot more reliable" Are you kidding - more reliable? I wish. I (we) have both a Rad (and a Haibike) and 2 Honda Metros. The 49cc...

    Haibike Radius Tour

I did end up getting this bike yesterday (LBS). Thanks to all that provided insight. Price was a factor - nuts at $1900 IMO. Rode it today (30 miles) in all kinds of terrain. It actually is what I wanted from the Tern D8 (got the Tern and returned it - rode it 135 miles - thanks REI) The...

    Haibike Radius Tour

Thx. Makes sense. I have a NCX on my mini and it works really well. BTW - Some people (reviewers) didn't like the Radius seat - but I found it to be fine.

    Haibike Radius Tour

Thanks all. I do like this bike. While I do wish it was folding, I can get it in my Subaru Crosstrek. I do have a Radmini that goes in my Jeep and spends most of it's time on forest roads and flat single tracks. The mini has held up well and for this application it works and I like it a lot...
