So on one side you have an electric motorcycle and the other you have a non-assisted bike that carries around a battery and a spare drive train?

But even if you deal with the spacing you still have to deal with the left hand drive train. This would be a very involved DIY project if it could be done. These may show up on some complete BikTrix builds but think it would be a hard sell for the DIY crowd.

FYI, the Giant Drive systems are rebranded Yamaha motors. They are good, reliable motors. I had an eMTB with the pw-x motor and I felt it punched way above it's class. If I remember it was rated at 65Nm and it never gave me a problem on single track climbs. I really liked the motor.

I have the 2019 Norco Sight VLT and it is an absolute blast to ride. But as mentioned they changed it in previous years and it's not the same bike.

If you just do surface research you will only get the top three, four bike manufacturers. There are a lot of excellent bikes out their not made by the top marketed bike manufacturers. Norco, Orbea, Canyon, YT, Bulls just to name a few. I'm 62, ride a carbon eMtb and I have no fear of breaking...

I know it doesn't make it any better, but this has kind of been my experience with a mail order bike. When it goes bad it goes really bad. I bought a bike from that Crazy guy in Madison and spent hundreds out of my own pocket to have a rideable bike.

Oh no doubt, it will only take a couple reckless riders to bring out the LEO's. I'm guessing someone will hit a loose puppy on the trail and all hell is gonna break loose.
