I just tried to do the math in my head, on how many teeth would be on each gear of an 11-speed 11-tooth-to-50-tooth cassette, & what final ratio that would make each gear, with a 48 tooth chainring... & now I'm getting out my calculator again: 48:50 is actually much closer to 1:1, than 40:42...

There are sooo many vendors, it's good to investigate thoroughly before buying something so critical (& costly!)... The battery we got from Frey was priced well enough that we bought two, essentially on faith & a handful of positive reports. I haven't opened the case to confirm what's inside...

I'm asking whether anyone can supply a case larger than the 48V 25Ah, to fit the battery slot on (an XL size) Frey AM1000 v5 frame. The charging port is 6 pin. I've yet to find a significantly larger battery for the same slot, than the bike's stock Dorado Max 13s6p 48V 21Ah using 78, Samsung...

Have you double-checked that the speedometer magnet is still reading consistently? Cadence sensor too... (Speedo sensor, is easier to check though!) Any of the three (including the torque sensor), could present an issue similar to what you describe... If it turned out to be a display issue...

Note that Base Voltage should NEVER be left at 0 mV. Bafang ships these motor controllers with the torque sensing uncalibrated. The minimum value, at zero pedal force, which these torque sensors can output, is around 732 milliVolts. Anything below 730 mV in the Base Voltage field, is wrong...

💯 Frey has been shipping both UART & CANBus Ultras for a hot minute now (as well as a limited number with 'custom' 60V controller), so I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually follow a strategy similar to Luna's, of fitting aftermarket UART controllers to Bafang's g510 motor cores... 🤞
