When I changed out the chain ring to a bigger one I did not lengthen the chain, so I figure that is possibly why the chain stretched so fast. I added a link to the count on the new chain, but that may not have been enough. I'll figure as I go. Shifting is good again and no clunking/skipping...

The chain that came with the bike was a kmc e9s. I had a kmc e9 as a spare sitting around.

After 1,119 miles I had to change out the chain. It was stretched according to the tool. Added an extra link since I upgraded the chain ring up 2 teeth.

I agree with PDoz on visiting a LBS in this decision. And I do own a Frey CC. Local MTB trails usually only want a class 2 and everything about the Frey you are looking at is not "legal" . (if it has a throttle) I do love my CC, but only keep it on the multi use trails riding proper around...

Try right clicking the com port when in the device manager, click properties, and setting the baud rate there.

look up davidbrandnew on YouTube to understand how the stem works. Look at his videos on how to change out the stem on the lectric to his stuff. Not pushing you to buy his stock, but he has great videos on what to do to change things, and it will help you understand the setup you have.
