    Regenerative braking

Geared hub motors don't offer the option of regen. None of the Easy Motion bikes come with regen. The small battery icon you see when you engage brakes is to indicate the motor cutoff.

    Easy Motion Nitro Race

We work with BH /Easy Motion USA and might be able to import one for you. It will be a special order though but there are bikes that outperform the Nitro Race. Why would you like to pick this one in particular? Also, where do you live?

A new Stromer coming? (not the ST2 btw)...

Well, for sure it's not a full suspension ST2 :)

Any Suprisingly Good Bikes Out of China?

Purchasing directly off of Alibaba or Ebay has major drawbacks. Support/warranty is NIL. I wouldn't suggest anyone to go that route. Too many people end up getting burnt. There are several bikes for less than $1K and carry upto 1-2 year warranty.

    Wave E-bike 499$ (another Storm/Indiegogo)

We tell most of ours vendors that $1.5K is the sweet spot and if they don't fill in the space, CF will certainly take over. I think they are realizing it in the last few months. Growing pains it is. We can expect many more CF campaigns in the near future.

    Nitro E3 vs Stromer Elite

We have sold many dozens of ST1 platinum but couple of months ago, Currie rep brought this E3 Nitro and from our experience, we can say E3 Nitro has an excellent ride feel but people don't like the awkward battery positioning. Some older folks were concerned that battery malfunctioning might...

    e-Joe KODA

Hi JR, At this point, we are not carrying any E-joe, so I don't know what kind of charging port it comes with. Looks like E-joe comes has 36V, 15Ah Li-poly and the Prodeco has been using LiFePo4. I believe they switched to Li-ion after they were bought out couple of months ago.

    e-Joe KODA

Yes, it's a generic design. Another feature of mass produced Chinese bikes is the battery placement behind the seat tube. The assembly line and tooling cost would increase if you go with purpose built frame.

Excellent write up. We also noticed that Prodeco has become more responsive this year! :)

Buzz sound when starting out, then goes away. ST1 Platinum

The earlier Stromer's had this problem and they would fry the controller but ST1's are much more robust. Unless, it is a really steep hill, you should be alright. BionX D-series also produces this slight buzz when you start pedaling in the highest assist mode.

Noob doing research, looking for ebike for a 33 mile commute

27 mile each way is not impossible. Recently watched this video and I was stunned by the dedication of this man. Take a look, it's a pretty interesting video http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2015/02/20/cold-bother-anyway/23765513/

Buzz sound when starting out, then goes away. ST1 Platinum

Yes, it does happen. It's partly because of the way electronics are setup. From what I can remember, the controller in ST1 has 12 MOSFETs and they have ~micro/milli-second lag between power pulses. If you ride Stromer ST2, you will notice that it is buttery smooth because of the controller...

    EG is alive?

Whenever we sell a bike to a customer who doesn't live in 50 mile radius of our store, we try to sell them a high-quality bike with very good history. If you choose your retailer and bike wisely, you shouldn't have to worry. As John mentioned, any experienced bike shop can do routine...

East Motion Evo - how far will it take me for my commute?

Evo Cross should get you ~ 30 miles, unless you're riding into pretty strong headwind or pedal occasionally. EVO line up should yield better range than the NEO because of updated controller programming and that's what we have been seeing with out customers.

The underside of the battery has couple of thin cushy sponge. See if you can add a few thicker ones.
