Fish tanks, who messes with them?

My wife and I have a bow-front 70 gallon fish tank, the largest bow-front they make. Have had it for a long time and never had any issues out of it. Last night I had to clean up around 10 gallons of water on my hardwood floors. I have a industrial floor dryer going on the top and I'll drag the...

    Mechanical Cable Actuated Disc Brakes

That was the first thing I replaced on my Rad when I had it, the brake cables. The Tektro brakes were great one adjusted but the cables, yuck, constant adjustment. I know good cables from my bmx days so I ordered some fancy pants ones from a bmx supply company. The added bonus was I could do...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

I've yet to unlock it. I'm making sure all the above are fully addressed before going full speed. Don't worry, I'll give a full and detailed review soon enough.

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

So if you have slop/play in the clamp portion of your bars check these! All 4 finger tight! And I thought I hit all the fasteners.....

BMX bars for XP 3.0 without Davidbrandnew....

So I got my Shorty kit in the mail but don't own my XP 3.0 anymore. But fir those interested, Davidbrandnew bars compared to the tallest modern GT 4-piece bars.

My ONE, valve caps (meow!) and lock location.

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

This is the other things I forgot! The crank arm hits the kickstand. Very annoying. Oh, and the kickstand is made out of old tin cat food cans. Not the modern aluminum cat food cans, the old thin tin ones. I'm gonna get a Greenfield kickstand and swap this one out before the included one breaks...

    Review of my Lectric ONE.

So I'm going to start this as a series so to speak. Right now is first impressions. So here we go! Arrived in a box that showed no external damage. I unpacked it, set it up and noticed the rear fender/rack assembly rubs on the top portion of the tire. I loosed everything up and beat on it with...

    Lectric One

My Lectric ONE showed up last night (9/12). I'm gonna try to get it set-up this afternoon (9/13). Got rain coming this weekend and beyond but I'm still excited to get it on the road for a test ride. After some miles and a understanding of app options I'll post a separate review. I'm gonna miss...

E-bike that seats two but not tandem

My wife and I ride 2-up on a Lectric Xpedition. It works great for what it is, and the dual battery option makes range anxiety a non-issue. I'll post a picture later as I can't go outside right now because my cats have a vet visit today and their bouncing off the walls wanting to go outside! If...

    Popped my rear wheel

On bmx bikes use Dia-Compe hinged seat clamps to secure coaser brake arms. I currently don't have a picture of the setup but those clamps are crazy sturdy and I've never see one fail. I would think it would also work great on a torque arm.

    20” x 3” E-bike tires

It wasn't the Kenda tire on the RadRunner that I hated as I thought they rode okay. I hated the useless "flat protection" as all it contained was a Laffy Taffy strip for protection. I got so many flats on those Kenda tires! I ended up doing Mr. Tuffy liners overlapping!

Condensation in Display=Sudden Loss of Motor Power

I got clouding from a heavy rain in my XP 3.0 display. I keep a old ziplok bag on hand and will put it over the display in rainy conditions. I honestly don't think rain got into the display but it was condensation from the change in temperature. My old RadRunner never fogged or clouded up and...

    20” x 3” E-bike tires

In motor scooter land we call Shinko tires Sh!tko. Always have a bit of "out of roundness" to them.

    20” x 3” E-bike tires

When I re-homed my XP 3.0 I gave the new owner my extra knobby tire. I kinda like the street tread on the Xpedition. I've taken the Xpedition on dirt paths, thru mud, across grass fields and never felt unsafe. I was saving the extra front knobby for the front because I thought I might loose the...

    4” x 20” VS 3” x 20” tires Pros/ Cons

I'm now avoiding 4" wide tires. I go a bit fast sometimes and the 4" wide tires make the ebike handle sloppy. I found my happy size at 3" now. Big enough to absorb most road imperfections but small enough to get a feel of the road. This opinion is on a 20" wheel. I've never ridden a 26" or...

XP 3.0 step through folder brake pads replacements

I've read something about, but have yet to confirm, the older mechanical pads will fit the new hydraulic calipers. I still have the old mechanical brakes but my hydraulic pads still look good on my XP 3.0 that were part of the brake upgrade/recall fur the XP 3.0. As far as better, as in...
