    hello!

No harm in charging to 100% before a big ride. Just don't let it sit at 100% for more than a day or so.

Thanks for all the ideas! Exploring by ebike is the best! We've put the bikes on the train for rides on Coronado Island (including the Hotel Del) and all over the Old Town and Mission Bay areas. The train got much easier when I switched from a 70 lb to a 38 lb bike. You've inspired me to move...

Very impressive Stage 19 win for Arensman. Why did Tadej let it happen?

    Great bike ride photos

Welcome aboard! We'd love to see your bike and the places you ride. My 3 favorite forum threads are the ones for sharing ride photos: https://forums.electricbikereview.com/threads/2025-our-rides-in-words-photos-maps-and-videos.57230/...

In a pre-Stage 18 interview, Jorgenson just said that he's been "struggling with his health for the last week" but is getting better now.

I'm still thinking a virus in the ranks. MVDP went home with an unspecified pneumonia, Evenepoel couldn't even stay in with a podium spot at stake, Jorgensen was better today but still not himself, and so on. As for Tadej seldom looking ruffled, paraphrasing the callers in a previous hard...

Agree with @Calcoaster , this doesn't quite add up. I ride a 38 lb Specialized Vado SL 1 in OFF all the time, just cuz I enjoy it, and I'm not a strong rider. All other things being equal, even a 10 lb change in bike weight makes little difference in steady riding on the flat. Maybe some factor...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Bipolar SL tuning My riding on the SL is becoming increasingly bipolar all on its own. That means splitting much of my saddle time between OFF and SPORT. If my subconscious has a rationale for this trend, I haven't been informed. But really enjoying the result: One minute, the serenity of OFF...

OK, experts, is there ANY way — short of some major calamity — for Jonas to pick up 4:26 on Tadej in the racing left?

Stage 18: What a pleasure to watch the lead group (Jorgensen, Vingegaard, Pogi, et al.) sprint and swoop their way down the Col de la Madeleine! CVV described it as, not a freefall, but a series of sprints out of each corner — of which there are many.

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Made a silly rule when I got my 1st ebike, a 70 lb torque-sensing hub-drive: Lowest possible assist at all times. And I pretty much stuck to it. To be fair, it prepared me for the lighter, lower-power, smaller-battery ebike I ride now. But why have a policy at all? If anything, I get better...

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Had 80 minutes to ride this afternoon, and it was 15 miles of pure Coast Highway gold! Balmy 70°F, crystal clear air, cool sea breeze, light traffic, surprisingly few tourists. North turnaround above Carlsbad State Beach in Carlsbad Village. South Ponto Beach in south Carlsbad, just short...

So you pulled the trigger on the Pinarello Nytro. Congrats! I bought a lightweight low-power ebike 2 months after the 2024 TdF, specifically to get just a little taste of the road bike experience. Now you're buying an e-road bike before the race is even over. I bet that happens a lot these days.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Another thing I've learned from personal experience and way too much time on EBR: If you're new to cycling or have been away from it for a while (as I was), your first ebike isn't all that likely to be the bike you want 6-12 months later. An ebike is a vastly more complex purchase that most...

First mention here. Someone at an LBS told a guy who told another guy.... Then a rep at TQ said it's true. That's the problem.
