    Ordered Creo 2 Comp need info about app, bike, etc please

    Agree with nearly everything Stefan said. The above is certainly true of RideWithGPS — to my knowledge, on any phone. But @mschwett taught me a very valuable exception: If (a) your phone has an OLED screen, AND (b) you run the Specialized app in its dark mode (see settings), it actually uses...

    Ordered Creo 2 Comp need info about app, bike, etc please

    Yes, the TCU and app will both display speed in mph or km/hr as you choose. That's the big 0.0 in my first photo: speed in mph. No, along with several others, cadence, ground speed, and rider power sensors are all built into the bike, and you can see their outputs in the app, TCU, or both. You...

    Some combo of willful ignorance and lost capacity for critical thinking. For many now, trained experts, evidence, and history are totally irrelevant. If the right political or religious leader tells them, "Don't worry, tariffs will only hurt our enemies, not you," all the economists and...

    Nailed It! New Tires for Gazelle

    My commuter came with Tannus inserts, but I'll be trying Mr. Tuffy next based on a number of posts here 1-2 yrs ago. Sorry, don't recall all the pros and cons, just the decision. The forum search function should help.

    Congrats! Love my Vado SL 1 but would've gone for your Creo if it came with flat bars. I use the latest (black logo) app on a handlebar-mounted Android phone in lieu of a bike computer and as a supplement to the Mastermind TCU ( top tube display). Quite well done overall. Very easy on the...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

    I'm sure you're right about that. It's obvious that you put a ton of time, effort, thought, experience, and talent into these videos. Love the presentation style. I've seen you explain in one clear plain-English sentence what I've tried to explain (with only limited success) in a semi-technical...

    Another new TQ motor: hpr40

    Another very interesting video, @Yako ! Keep up the good work. Glad you're active on the forum. A lot of extra work at your end, I know, and not sure how you'd present it in a video, but to fully assess a comparo like this, I'd want to see all the data bearing on battery consumption and motor...

    Never saw anything edible that purple outside of some kids' candies. Does the color come from beets?

    Surly Big Easy Updates for 2024

    I think Surly needs a new branding consultant. Who wants a surly ebike that gives you lip about how you're riding? Even calls you a big dummy for buying it! And does anybody really think that a bike that you have to skid to steer is a good idea?? I'll let myself out. ;^}

    Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

    Excellent! https://www.fidlock.com/components/en/applications/tq Taking that as a go-ahead for a Fidlock mount on the SL down tube.

    Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

    You probably don't want to know about the medical equipment and other unmentionables that people disinfect in their dishwashers. Very hostile environment if you're a cootie.

    A 4th alternative: For $8, giving this Topeak cage a try: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000ZKCLEI?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image Mixed reviews, but with the sliding cage part removed, might be able to clamp the rack onto the down tube with the base still in place.

    Greetings from Vancouver

    A very close paraphrase of post #8 above by @PedalUma just 2 months ago. If you can't post your own material, please don't post at all.

    Back to the bike shop

    Very happy for you. My friend and your counterpart Gary at Cadence Cycling does more sales and less wrenching but says the same thing — happy as a clam working in a bike shop in his retirement.

    Creo 2 Carbon Cranks

    Curious how much that cost in $/gram and where you felt the most benefit — climbing, general responsiveness, etc.

    I think our fine government should put tariffs on the smoke coming in from Canada. Ditto for the Arctic air masses Canada keeps dumping over the border every winter. When it gets down to -5°F in Denver, there's only one neighbor to blame. ;^}

    The MA tax rate must be pretty high to warrant that kind of response. Ours is 7.75% to CA and up to 1% higher depending on locality.

    Absolutely stunning photos! And hats off to your wife — over 4,000 ft/day without assist! After living with you, I'm sure she knew how to handle those guys. Please post the dates of the supermodel trip. What's the name of that first mountain? Looks geologically interesting.

    A lot more brown than I'm used to seeing in your normally lush green photos. Has the rain cut back to 6 days a week?

    I get it. From what you've told us about Brian, and what we know about you, not surprised that he finally gave in to the temptation to moon you. But maybe he should've waited till he was stopped. ;^}
