I have recently purchased a Topeak Ratchet Rocket Lite DX tool to carry on the bike. I haven't had to make use of it as yet, so I cannot comment on its functionality.

I just checked the HoverAir website, and it blow me down; they have the X1 for AU389 and the combo for AU439.

From what I have found, there is not much around here. I found one second-hand on eBay for AU400, whereas the Neo is AU$300 new, and the cheapest price from a unknown retailer for the X1 is AU$535 and from a mainstream retailer, AU$639. Even Aliexpress pricing is up there with the street prices...

You have interested me in a drone like this, so I poked around eBay this morning and saw this listing for a HoverAir X1 (there are others at a similar price, too). So, what am I missing here? A knock-off?

I'm not sure of US prices, but from what I have seen, they tend to be on the expensive side. One that comes to mind is the Topeak Prepstand eUP Pro. I believe it is new to the market. Another option is the Ket-Lift4Ebike stand but I suspect that the price is seriously high. Also this thread...

I was looking at Flextail's sleeping pad pumps and by chance, spotted their Tiny Bike Pump. I haven't done any research on it, but I thought I would just add to the list of options here. If anyone knows more please do share.

It is a bit too dorky for me; I manage that on my own, so my comprise is a cycling cap under the helmet. Not sure which is worse (from a looks perspective) to be honest, but when touring one can get away with a lot :)

We do, but the only ones I know of are where there is a pedestrian path alongside a bike path. Our footpaths (sidewalks) are dual use, but the law is very much on the pedestrian's side if something happens. I occasionally use the footpath but that is only where it is safer/better option that...

I cannot comment on the USA, but it is not known in Australia or available at Bike24. Maybe not known in Germany either :)
