splicing Julet 4 pin tail light cable

The larger the shrink ratio the more versatile it is.. Especially when working with, or need to feed it over something like a connector. 6:1 is usually the best available but is typically expensive 4:1 is considered good quality 2:1 is the cheapest and most common. 3:1...you can't go wrong...

splicing Julet 4 pin tail light cable

I've done that as well.... Sometimes even putting heat shrink over it Typically the heat shrink with adhesive has a thicker wall and adds a bit more protection but with less flexibility in the finished product.

I think it better to let Ringo enjoy his bike for a bit and let possible future upgrades present themselves through want or necessity

I concur... I hated the Schwalbe Johnny Watt tires on pavement... they broke traction way too easily. My current Schwalbe Al Grounder are an SUV tire that is more pavement oriented but still work well enough off road (for me). Very smooth and quiet on pavement. Super moto (X) don't have any...

edit:... Yeah a quick Google search indicates that the battery is probably proprietary. I wouldn't say that they are an established brand, but they do seem to have a faithful following. If you did want to play it safe and not rely on finding a third party rebuilding service I do like the...

Rusted Wallke X3 Pro Battery - can’t remove, help!

If the lock isn't physically broken you should be able to heat, lube and jiggle it free. Take your time and keep inserting and removing the key with a drop of penetrating lube on it like WD40. . Let it sit for few hours or even overnight if you doesn't work after 5 minutes or so.

Rusted Wallke X3 Pro Battery - can’t remove, help!

I think you're being a bit overly cautious. Most name brand cells have a max operating temperature of around 140°f. Though not suggesting that you heat it up that much.. If you bring the lock up to say 120° while protecting the battery it should be perfectly ok. That said, again a photo would...

Rusted Wallke X3 Pro Battery - can’t remove, help!

I concur. The lock is usually on one end so you can direct the heat on to the lock and away from the battery. Not sure how you can position a heat shield any better. Also you don't want to use high heat.. 20 - 30°f above ambient is all I would do.

Rusted Wallke X3 Pro Battery - can’t remove, help!

A heavy hand is a useful tool but I would avoid it in this case and would not use excessive force on a lock. Many times the internals have small moving pieces that can be pushed out of alignment, jamming and making thing worse. With the advise above, inserting the key and jiggling would be my...

Rusted Wallke X3 Pro Battery - can’t remove, help!

I would keep trying to lube it with something like WD40. Don't saturate it to the point that it will get into the battery but keep it wet. Also try heating the lock with a blow dryer/heat gun. The expansion should make things move and allow the WD40 to penetrate even further. Take care not to...

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

I realize not everyone can for numerous legitimate reasons... but for me, this is not rocket science. My first ebike was a diy build and the experience was well worth it as well as being an awesome covid distraction. My second is a DTC but with all known components.. I have no problem working on...

I do that often such as substitute penne instead of ziti or rigatoni... though those do have their place on my menu. This particular dish.. I'd of opted for angle hair. 👌
