What brake pads do I buy???

I had to do this when I rode the path under construction. There was a fine stone dust everywhere and it stuck like cement and fouled my rear caliper.

What brake pads do I buy???

I don't think that's a feature like that of automobile pads. Have you tried wet sanding the pads with a flat block and then cleaning them and the rotors with isopropyl? Are your rotors worn/grooved?

Best cargo bags (panniers?) for groceries?

They also have the bag side of the mount (fixer) that can be added to whatever else you want to use with an MTX rack...

I am looking to replace my disk brakes

Similar to the tektro I have TRP E23 4 Piston and they work well. 2 years/ 7200mi and excellent stopping power on an 80lb/1000w mid drive and a fair amount of hill use. But I think it fair to say that most of the mainstream major brand 4 piston work well. Most brake issues are user related.

    Lubing an eBike chain

That's my go to method. If I'm being thorough I lift the entire bike with a hoist... ... the straps make it easy_peasy_Japanese_y. Plus it's nice doing things at eye level.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

In recent weeks with consistent +90°f temperatures and + 68° dew points along with poor air quality due to Canadian wild fires I've learned that increasing PAS to keep you moving at 18 - 20mph instead of the typical 13 - 16mph...especially on long hill climbs results in much more significant air...

splicing Julet 4 pin tail light cable

My tip with most products like this is to not cut the applicator tip as instructed if it has a screw top and use a pin or small artist brush to dispense it from the bottle. If not, do as you say and wipe the tip. But I also add a small, thin piece of plastic bag or cellophane between the tip and...

2015 ejoe Koda battery/motor/ controller question

I'd guess that the motor or controller are bad and that resulted in the battery not being stored properly and dying as well. Hard to give advice..but if you plan on changing the controller anyway, start there. You have a lot of unknowns with a used $100 purchase and may have more than one problem

    Servicing the Shimano M360 derailleur.

What he said. I've also found that clean is better than lube, especially with quality cables. I've used isopropyl alcohol with success... though that might not be as easy with cables running through the frame.

    My "New" Ebike

Seems the original batteries for this bike were 24v nominal. The Satiator bottom rating is 36v, so no go.. But I do believe the current is variable on it so you don't need to pump all 5a into a battery if it is usable. So is the correct charger for 6 cells in series? 25.2v full charge voltage...

    My "New" Ebike

Very interesting and looks to be in excellent condition... but do you really want to ride this instead of one of your more modern bikes? I'm not sure I could take that far a step back now that I'm back in the future. More (actually less) power to ya! Enjoy!

splicing Julet 4 pin tail light cable

I would silicone on things like canvas which worked well... but that's also what I had on hand. I try not to buy to many specific products these days... They end up drying out and becoming waste

Re-greasing the Ultra motor...is it time?

A quick update. 2,250mi on the Quiet Gear Motor and 1,500mi since filling the gearbox with Cornhead grease and the motor is running noticeably quieter and smooth. I think between the motor gears breaking_in and after trying less and now filling the gearbox with the Cornhead are the...

splicing Julet 4 pin tail light cable

Yeah I wouldn't use hot glue on my trunk bag to hold a light clip.. but I like it to reinforce electrical connections and such as it's easy to pinpoint application, fill voids and add strain relief on delicate pieces. I like that it can be further manipulated with a small heat gun during/after...
