Rotors for 2-piston Shimano BR-MT410 extremely limited?

I use the following for unspecified hex socket head screws/bolts/axles: 2-3mm: 3Nm 4mm: 4-5Nm 5mm: 6-8Nm 6mm: 8-11Nm I use the low side for titanium fasteners, and the high side for robust fasteners. It's not gospel, and if there is a spec, I use it.

I have a similar Topeak mini-ratchet kit in the first photo on the bike, and the Nano Torqbox in the second photo as my backup in my shop bag. I need something that I can use all day 2x-3x/week, and I prefer a 1/4" drive with bits versus the Torqstik because I use it with extensions when...

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

We both live and ride in similar environments, except that we get winter. When I take the bike(s) inside for the winter, I'll do a full service, and also check every fastener for torque (loosen, then tighten) to make sure that there's no corrosion going on. My brakes (Maguro 4 piston MT5e) have...

Rotors for 2-piston Shimano BR-MT410 extremely limited?

Also, use a drop of Loctite Blue or equivalent with the new, longer bolts.

My Spin Doctor small torque wrench broke yesterday at the shop. I've had it for at least 15 years. Spin Doctor was the house brand tool line sold by Performance Bicycles. I guess when the frequency of use went up significantly, it couldn't take the heat. I also have the Topeak Nano Torqbox as a...

2 piston vs 4 piston brake pad lifespan.

    That's kinda harsh.

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

I feel your pain. Things here have started to slow, but we have two more weeks until the kids have to go back to school. From the end of August until the middle of October is glorious. We call it "locals season". The summer home people stay until Thanksgiving or Christmas, so it's not just us...

    E-Horn?

We sell those at the shop. They have different tones. Personally, I wouldn't want a horn that doesn't run off of the main battery.

Supernova M99 lights with Bafang ultra

Bafang M620 light drive capacity 12V/12W Supernova M99 Mini Pro-45 low beam 8.6W high beam 16W The Supernova needs more current than the M620 can provide. Roo bad, because I have that exact headlight, and it's great.

Looking for an e-bike with the following:

Makes sense. Those fat tire bikes need a lot of power. I would not call them a hybrid, though.

Looking for an e-bike with the following:

1000w mid drive motors are few and far between and tend to be found in all out race bikes and cargo bikes, not hybrids. 600w-750w are much more common. My first recommendation would be the Velotric Discover 2 $1,999. These are nicely made bikes for the money. If you want a top brand bike and can...

Bosch Smart System Mysteries Explained Once And For Good!

When I prep a Bosch bike for sale, I do the following: - Do all firmware updates - Download all assist modes - Set the headlight (if present) to "last state" - Set all assist modes to fixed (no "+" modes) If the user wants to try a dynamic assist mode, it's already loaded, and they can switch...

What brake pads do I buy???

You'll need a bleed kit for your brand of brakes. You may be able to save the seals, but since they're all apart anyway, I'd replace them, too. Everything should be squeaky clean. I prefer microfiber towels. Always use the type of fluid recommended by the brake manufacturer.

Any good bike shop that sells electric bikes can do it. It depends on your definition of "reasonable".

Specialized Turbo Vado SL: An Incredible E-Bike (User Club)

Bleeding should not be necessary. Changing the oil every few years is good PM, but not bleeding. Pad wear has so many variables. Cyclocross racers replace pads every other weekend. Touring types, every season. Occasional riders, maybe every other season. I don't think that you're doing anything...

The right way to do this is to use a standard programmable chip, open source software, with proprietary vendor branches. It will never happen.
