    Tubeless Blues

The only problems I have had were tires that I thought were tubeless. I did not know Schwalbe would make the same model tire in tubeless and not. They seemed to work till I switched to a narrower rim, then blew off. then leaking valves. But I got the valve deal taken care of now.

VORSA Update (1500 mile review) King of the Hill?

Humm still looks like the standard lower-end components, though at least it has a decent gear range. But still low-end parts, and I don't need that much power. If you like the power, fine, but for me, I want to ride a bike that helps me not do the work for me. What I can do feels far better...

I am looking to replace my disk brakes

or shimano deore xt or above. They are single-finger brakes, though they are more sensitive than the Tektro, so they need a light touch. have 17,000 miles on one pair.

    Servicing the Shimano M360 derailleur.

I gave up on lubing them. they last so long it does not matter I have one with ovedr 16,000 miles it is also a deore xt. it works the same as when I was lubing it. Now the housing and cable are what need servicing. When shifting is getting glitchy tiem to replace it.

I to start worring about food with my limited diet.

Boy my body has changed. I had to cut carbs way back as I was getting so sensitive to them. Then my gallbladder started doing weird things, and I had to cut way back on fat. ( I wanted too for years, but I needed the calories) but that was the key, my energy levels went up and my food...

Replacement rear wheel for 2021 Trek Allant+ 8S

I had mine built with dt Swiss hub and rim. I got a narrower rim than what was stock. But that was 300.00, but I have 10,000 miles and it has not needed to be tuned.

    Food Porn Rides

I have to keep my food simple, so when I eat out, it's just a dish of meat and veggies at a Chinese place or such. But here is a chicken noodle soup I eat a lot. My body doesn't tolerate carbs and not much fat either. So this is my chicken noodle soup that's high in protein, very low carbs and...

2025 - Our Rides in Words, Photos, Maps and Videos

ya it was pretty cool that long. we have some as long but I ride them almost every day going to work. at least part of them usually riding on the road is faster overall. If you can transport your bike this path would be a breeze easy slopes for the most part, one section of switchbacks and signs...

Hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit (Magura Brakes)

yes it's weird how often the kits even Shimano don't have the block. The clip just makes it easier to keep the hose on I struggled to get a good bleed till I discovered that. Though now it looks like shimano has it. They came up with a hose with a needle end that actually goes into the hole on...
