    Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB

btw, after some more searching in product catalogues I came across the LITEMOVE AEW-230 which could also be something to look into for a replacement front light. Might be that that light is easier to source in the US.

    Gazelle Ultimate C380 HMB

Smaller might indeed come without cage mount. Headlights is led it would run at 30 to 40 Lumens.... Better light would be a B&M Briq series light Easy to replace. I think this is trelock branded light.

Best cargo bags (panniers?) for groceries?

it all depends on the use case. We use a mix of Orlieb back rollers and Racktime (Vida?) panniers for hauling a lot of stuf, groceries etc. Ortliebs back- and frontrollers are favorite when we go full on bike-traveling with tent etc. For bikepacking I use lighter bags. I also have some Bontrager...

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Based on the pictures ive seen this pattern of breaking spikes is caused by riding a longer period with a low spoke tension. With high end non-e MTBs you see the same patern on the nds caused bike the 203 4 piston rear brake pushing against exactly the spokes en mirror Still no answer to my...

Where do you keep your bike?

here the most households have a dedicated bikeshed/storage in the Netherlands. We store most of our bikes there, a few folding bikes are stored in house and the bikes at the datcha are also in a bikeshed. No electra in it so charging is under the popup tent on the patio or in the living area...

    New bike recommendation

which spec? just looked at the duots branded one, flimsy brakes, phased out gear system, cheap components (fork is worrying) and what is going on on the handle bar with al these plastic remotes in weird positions? I have not ridden the bike so cannot judge on that part. you get what you pay for.

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

Just read the opening post with the pictures. I would count on my service colleagues to come to the conclusion that this rearwheel indeed would have been ridden over a longer period with a to low spoke tension. Based on where the spokes broke (elbow on trailing spokes on the Drive side). How...

    Do you ride with someone?

Kommit tow system? TowWhee strap? to name a few.... M-\wave and Zefal also have those systems in adventure races they use a small diameter dynamic climbing rope to tow the weakest teammember on the mtb courses. usually a 6.2mm dynamic cord from a twin rope system.

what is this on my steerer tube?

Monoshock fork. Those resest bolts are used to let the forks inner shaft glide in the correct angle through the outer steerer tube so you can actually steer with the thing. These bolts overcome the free play when the glide plates/bushings wear out.

    Another e-bike recall, Bakfiets.nl

Bakfiets.nl demands the highest standards for the quality and safety of its products. During internal research, we have found that a small series of frames was not equipped with a reinforcement plate. The affected frame numbers for all of these frames are known to us, and this page serves for...

What have you learned from your e-bike experiences?

since I was riding MTB's in the early 1990-ish it became clear that my wrenching skills where better than competition riding. And after wearing the knees out in the mid-90'sh I started a so called "student-job" at a bikeshop and worked on the first e-bikes in I think 1996 or 97. So been riding...
