    Last minute questions about CCS

Did have to cut it down. You can used the stock fork as a rough guide, but remember it's better to be a liitle over then under since you can always use spacers.

    Last minute questions about CCS

With the upgrade only being around the $200'ish range; yes. The RS's mid tier air spring noticeably feels better then the coil spring of the Suntour. Just keep up with the recommended maintenance if riding in foul weather.

    Last minute questions about CCS

I have a original CC received in June 2016 & still riding it today. I ride year round in Chicago weather & moisture intrusion into the connectors was a problem early on till I started using dielectric grease in the front connectors. The CCS may have improved on these. The 350w wheel lasted till...

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

My 12.8 battery on an original CC suffers from melting around the terminal, but it's still functional. It's definitely arcing likely from vibrations that cause it to momentarily lose connection, but not long enough to trigger an error. A few weeks ago I was experiencing brief power losses & the...

    Knocking Freehub and Cassette Removal?

I'd be interest in seeing how that work out you since I may have to do the same thing soon on my CC. I've got over 7,000 miles on the freehub though & I think it's just wearing out & developing more play then normal. Finally after riding through heavy rain yesterday; this morning it was crunchy...

Known Issues & Problems with Juiced Bikes Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Thanks for the tip on the narrow wide chainring. Only one day with the Deckel 52t one from Ebay & no drops yet. I was experiencing several recently before this & had one lock up to the point of destroying the derailleur cage. Thank goodness for having throttle that day.

Crosscurrent Rear Disc Pad Full Contact?

I wanted to know that it wasn't just me. I have access to a machine shop, but I'll have to ponder if just facing the mount adapter will leave enough engagement thread or cause any structural issues because I'd have to take off at least 1mm. It's can be problem if you let it wear to where the...

Crosscurrent Rear Disc Pad Full Contact?

Do the disc brake pads on your CC(s) make full contact with the disc? On my original CC there's a portion of the pad (top part) that doesn't & while it still brakes fine I think it increases wear on the pads & also the disc if you let the pads wear down enough. Just want to see if this was a...

Rock Shox Paragon Air Suspension Fork For CC

I actually neglected maintenance on the Rock Shox too & this is the result. Rust developing beneath the seals where it's in contact with a foam internal wiper. There seems to be corosion inside the leg too near that spot, but I can't tell how much. Fork is still functional.

    Luna Basic 48v Charger

Finally decided to get a 2nd charger so I don't have to lug the original CC one back and forth like I've been doing for two years. Didn't want to spend for the Juice one so went with Luna. Here's what I got for $40 shipped. It feels cheap but seems to work. The body is shorter and so are the...

    Resource thread: Battery Keys

For those that still have your keys here is something you can do to ensure it won't likely snap off. Theres no metal behind that section so easy to drill out or maybe burn through and it feels much tougher then the little bit of plastic that was there.

Original CC Is This Piece Really Needed?

It looks like it, but it's not keyed to the axle so it spins freely on it. There are already torque washers on each side.

Original CC Is This Piece Really Needed?

The only purpose it seems to serve is an backup retention to keep the wheel from falling out, but I doubt that would ever happen if the nuts are properly tightened. My CC didn't come with proper rack mount so I rely on the threaded hole this is bolted to. Unfortunately through repeated...

Cracking Spoke Holes CC Wheel After 7k+ Miles

I got my rebuilt wheel back. I've never seen this lacing pattern before. Hope it all works out since it was $240~. Velocity Cliffhanger rims with Phil wood single butted spokes.

Cracking Spoke Holes CC Wheel After 7k+ Miles

I have the original CC which uses 12g spokes. Tbe 13/14g single butted spoke the shop bought are naturally smaller all around compared to the straight gauge 12's. I thought that as the hub is sized for that it could be an issue with it pulling through the hub holes? I've seen builds where...

Cracking Spoke Holes CC Wheel After 7k+ Miles

Both ends. It's a smaller diameter wire so it makes sense to me. Looking an Andy's build I guess it isn't a problem.

Cracking Spoke Holes CC Wheel After 7k+ Miles

Good luck with that. I just dropped off my wheel today at the LBS & just in time because one of those spoke nipples pulled right out with little effort. They did manage to secure the Velocity Cliffhanger rim which looked pretty stout & heavy duty. The 13/14ga spokes they bought are smaller at...

Cracking Spoke Holes CC Wheel After 7k+ Miles

Hopefully my LBS will finally be able to get my hub redone with a new rim & spokes this week, but in the meantime I've been riding it as normal. Here's what it looks like now. The wobble looks bad, but I really don't feel it. Shop suggested Velocity Cliffhanger rims & 13/14 butted spokes, but...
