What's cold weather battery heating all about? I was under the impression that recharging and storage within certain temps was the only concern. Does motive use fall within a temperature constraint? When riding at 45°f, should my battery be kept at a higher temperature?

OK, thank you all for the simpler and better ideas. The auxillary battery to power a heated garment is a much preferred concept as it does not compromise the range/power capacity of the motive battery. My ebike has several auxillary battery locations, so no issues there.

Yes, I'd be hesitant also in experimenting withou knowing the default settings. I'm sure you've searched the web, plus tried contacting the disributor / manufacturer. If all else fails, make good notes on the P settings as you find them first before any changes. Experimenting can be risky as...

Doesn't look to be the correct shape for the twist throttle position. Maybe heat will alter it to a better shape.
