Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

@AHicks I don't think it's a rebadged KT. It's a bit smaller, and I don't think it will fit into the welded on compartment. My concern is the plugs seem different. So if that's the case, is splicing possible? I am going to get my shop together today. Been *collecting* tools, now I have to...

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

That was quick! A package from PSW arrived today. I took a peek at the bike to see if this will be doable or not. The controller won't fit into the welded housing for the original. I can probably figure how to mount it somehow once I get it all apart. The LCD plugs in, I can even run the...

Let's Ride Together (Ebike gangs 😉)

USA / NY / Nassau County (Long Island) I'm a pretty new to ebikes, and I do all of my riding alone, would love to hook up with a group.

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

I just checked on tracking for both my new PSW controller, and AliExpress 52 / 14 battery. Nothing just yet, but I'm so looking forward to both, and doing this upgrade. I can't wait to see what this 750 watt motor can do with better programming and a bit more power. The *butt* factor is also...

Funny, I've been looking at saddles... for my bike probably more of a motorcycle or minibike seat. I've seen some nice hump back, but hard to tell if anything but most expensive motorcycle seats (near $400) seem inferior to the one already on the bike. Just made my 52 / 14 purchase. Thanks...

@Timpo @AHicks I've seen that one, yes, different cradle. If I want to run both batts, I have to have same cradle. Also, I will potentially have 29 amps if I carry both units. I'll make sure I get the charger. Today's ride, about 20 miles, again flat and paved, hardly any wind. I kept PA in...

    Hello From Long Island NY

Trying times for us all. As the lock down hit, I ordered my first ebike, and thank God I did. Riding has become my new favorite passion, helping keep me sane. As I learn about the ebike world, and how to get the absolute most out of it, I'd like to share my ride, which right now is a work in...

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

Today's ride was a bit Zen-ish in that respect. For the most part everything is flat on Long Island, so I'm basically able to stay in the top two gears, and just feather the throttle if necessary to get going. I can leave in PA 2, 3, 4 and add throttle manually, or just drop into 5 and long...

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

After all this, I'm probably just gonna go with the 52/14 from Ali Express... and thanks much for the advice and suggestions. Much appreciated. I was out today, did 13 miles with lots of pedaling, but lots of assist, avg speed probably about 18 (max speed like 20 -22). With the 56 tooth...

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

What about this for an idea... Mount both batteries (IFO other battery or on downtube). Just need a way to swap back and forth. It would be a shame to not take this opportunity to go with a 20 ah. Another possibly silly question. What does it involve building one yourself? I have a great...

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

@Timpo, no don't wanna switch cradles if possible. This is a 52v / 14 ah and ships from China. I was browsing their US warehouse and this one is 52/17 Would really like the extra range from the 17 (or even 20)...

My battery looks like the exact same case (Hyalong) in that pic. My concern is length and the little lock button. I'll measure / take a pic before I ride this AM.

I know a little something about LI 18650's, and generally only buy from IMR or other reputable sellers. Mostly I use Samsung, Panasonic, etc. >> Samsung cells / 52v / 17.5 for $446 with shipping I guess my biggest concern is to get a battery that's interchangeable with the current set up, in...

As I wait for my kit to arrive, I want to start working on my spare battery. What is the general consensus on DHGate? >> 48 / 17.5 OR >> 52 Any opinions? My current battery is a 48/14 in a Hailong case just like in these pics. Looks like the same connector as well. As I reach out to more...

    2nd Battery Options

Hey All, I've got an Addmotor M-70, with a 750 watt rear hub motor. Right now it has a 48V, 14.5A battery, and I'd like to run with two batteries, alternating or long ride. I'm not sure if I have to stick with exactly what it uses now. I've reached out to the manufacturer and seller and waiting...

    First things first

As another newbie in learning (just hit 350 miles) I have to say, I love my throttle. I find I like to leave my PAS low, gear selection high, and *feather* the throttle to push the bike while at a moderate cadence (for me must be about 70) , leaving a little for the zip feel of acceleration...

Bafang 750 Watt, Integrated Wheel, Rear Hub Fat Bike Motor

I'll get some pics of the controller (frame mounted under seat). This is actually a decent look at the M-7 with the 56 tooth chainring, which really makes it a different bike for me. I really can't wait to work on this controller swap out.
