    Worth the effort? Giant Lafree

I've never seen one of these - kinda has that Peewee Herman vibe. Rad!

Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

The way I narrow that down is taking a future-resistant approach. I'm looking for bikes that are likely to be supported down the road - and use as few proprietary parts as possible. And also using parts from vendors that are trusted. I personally prefer Bosch-equipped bikes for these reasons...

Considering a Specialized, got a few questions

I've had a few experiences with Trek's customer service lately. I'd rate their corporate service at a 2/10. They get one point for answering the phone, but the rep I spoke with was abrasive and defensive. And he did not do anything for me. The local Trek store here was better. They're...

Bike tires? Puncture proof? Skid proof?

No such thing as puncture nor skid proof. Tubeless (with sealant) is best for flat prevention. Err, there are those airless things, but there are big tradeoffs there. Choose a tire that suits the type of riding you'll be doing for better traction. Since you'll be staying on pavement...

    Road weenie karma

I left them stranded? No, they left themselves stranded by not being prepared. I don't exist to rescue road weenies. And I wasn't blocking the pump. It's accessible from both sides. I can't help it that folks don't communicate.

    Road weenie karma

I usually try to stay away from such generalizations. I get it. I really do. And it's probably more of a local thing. But I ride a lot. I'm out there most days. And that's what I've gathered from 12 years of riding in Colorado - most road weenies are dicks. And the force multiplies when...

    Cannabis, how is it legalized?

It's funny that what's completely normal and legal in one state can put you in prison in another. I live in Colorado and we've had legal weed for 11 years now. As of last week or so, we had sold $15 billion in recreational weed. It's taxed on several levels, and distributed all over...

Do You Wear a Wristwatch When You Ride?

Usually ride with a Samsung watch. I don't track rides much anymore, but it gives me text, Webex and phone call info without looking at my phone - which is never easily accessible. It also lets me know when it's time to re-up on the sunscreen.

    Tubeless tire experiences

Amen to this here. I got my first flat on tubeless in close to 5 years of using them today, and it was because I failed to keep an eye on the sealant level. The fix was - remove stick, add sealant, spin wheel, inflate, ride off. Tubes drool

Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

About as far west as you can go from Frisco, CO and stay on bike path. This is quite a way up the south side of Copper Mt + probably holds enough snow to ski a little later. Err, probably too much. It's steep on a bike, but would be boring on skis. Looking back toward Frisco. This is one...

    Road weenie karma

So I was riding home from work today and experienced my first flat on a tubeless setup. Once I noticed the rear getting squishy, I found a good spot to stop and quickly found a 2-3 mm stick between the center tread and sidewall. That's right - a stick. That's a first. Once I pulled it out...
