Harley-Davidson officially spins off new electric bicycle company with stunning first model

I didn't know Brose S motors were made in Milwaukee, LoL. Anyway I don't see how the powered by HD will effect sales unless they are going to try and chum the collectible market. The HD owner that has HD pillow cases, salt and pepper shakers etc.

Harley-Davidson officially spins off new electric bicycle company with stunning first model

Powered by HD via Yamaha, Bosch? I find it interesting that they spun off this endeavor and rebranded. If this side line doesn't revive HD they could try bomb casings or RV's.....wait, they tried that already. LOL. It will be interesting to see what the next 10years hold. Guitar Center just...

    A Van and an Ebike

We need the Earth, it does not need us. How we ever got that so wrong is beyond me. I always figured the idea of us killing Mother Earth was a serious example of human arrogance. We might make it uninhabitable for a variety of life-forms, including ourselves, but once we are gone it will (Earth)...

    A Van and an Ebike

We looked at the mini transit and pro master City ( dodge) but I want about 3000lb of towing capacity. I'm leaning MoPar because of the incredible dependibilty of our 94 3500 Ram extended Van. We bought it for my wife's business from a Church. In the almost 170k we put on it all we ever repaired...

    A Van and an Ebike

Traveling with a camper is a pain...be it van or in our case pop-up. Our folder fits inside the Aliner when traveling, two would fit but I did not want a folder. I carry mine on a Fat Tire double rack on the camper bumper. I have come to the conclusion they are secure on a rack, be it on the...

    A Van and an Ebike

I agree some might see "homesteading" as some sort of escape, or movement, whatever. There are degrees, as with anything. I consider off-grid as being the one ( person) that produces what is normally billed if on-grid. There is nothing that says off-gridders can't have internet, cell phones or...

Distance on a full charge. Giant Explore 2020

I have been looking at the Explore also as a more realistic bike to do a rail trail excursion. I think a 50mi range would work great. The plan, for me, would be to have my wife drop me off , then run ahead and find an RV campground 75 to 100 miles up the road. We would take turns ( shes also...

    How fast are people riding?

Pretty sure I'm a slowpoke. I generally ride in PAS 1 or 2. So 14mph? Its a easy speed on bike paths and one my wife and our dog ( in her front basket) seem comfy with. I have ridden the bike at 20+ speeds, it rides ok on fatties but I doubt the components on a sub $900 bike are up to the task...

Have any of you been in the Army, Navy, Air Forces?

H.V.D. (: Amazon skipped their Vet Prime Member Special this year. Not that we are owed it, but it was a great deal. Realistically, I have cut back on "impulse" purchases by 98% so a $40 discount would have returned Jeff nothing.

    A Van and an Ebike

There are levels on freedom. To my way of thinking your being "deliberate" puts you at the top of the heap. I have tried to convince my wife of 30 years to move west, claim our small piece of dirt and go off-grid, like we did over a quarter of century ago, while cruising. We both live a pretty...

Ebike makers: winners and losers in 5-7 years?

Ok I can see where that could be misconstrued. Sorry for that. Having been a mfg rep in a different lifetime I am only too aware that price alone does not dictate quality, since so many products are mass labeled and packaged to hit different markets and price points. As far as Trek, Giant...

Ebike makers: winners and losers in 5-7 years?

Where did I state you don't research? I assume anyone buying a $4k bike would do so. So sorry if you persecieved any slight, none intended. I know you haven't seen me on here every hour asking for help, that's because, so far, I haven't needed any. The jist of my post was how I saw two distinct...

Ebike makers: winners and losers in 5-7 years?

To my way of thinking @BET and @Dallant pretty much define the two primary buyers market. One is ok with doing some research, spending less and willing to risk some headaches using email to correspond in order to deal with issues. Fitting real needs based on real usage is the perfect market for...
