I use a shipping tote as a rear basket. I can lock the lids to keep my gear safe. I did have to lengthen my rear rack. To lenghten the rack I used a 2x4.

Someting new just happened. I went on a ride. I thought I was going to able to go 10 miles, but no the motor shut of at about six. That was a surprise,but not the biggest. The voltage left in the battery after the ride was 3.6v. Do you think the BMS went bad?

I don't understand your comment about my post. I am happy with my purchase, not with my current weather. The bike met my criteria, and I entered the purchase with my eyes wide open. So what is the problem?

I love riding in the winter. The trails are less busy and there is a greater chance to see wildlife. What does suck is ice, especially black ice. I bought my first ebike, because of black ice. I hope everyone has good rides and keeps safe.
