    Black or White

I bought a white radrover. Liked it. But ended up exchanging the white for a black one instead after a few months of trying out the white. White is nice. But black is also good. More bike like and less noticeable.

    new headlight

It is hard indeed! It's hard to demonstrate the output of our light because.. well - it's tough to get that output in full - on digital film! And I hate candle power forum. Good info but they are VERY oddly against retrofitting headlights. Often times they give advice which is much more unsafe...

    new headlight

No it does not. It DOES have defined horizontal beam but there is light leak above what would be the "cutoff". In the headlight retrofitting world we call this "squirrel finders". But regardless ours is significantly less light above the horizontal beam as compared to 99% (made up number, but..)...

    Pumped Rover to 30 psi.

Nice!! I may try 25 psi. Worried about a pop out tho - those hurt.

    new headlight

Is that your personal output shot or off the internet somewhere? I find it hard to believe it's only 150 lux and dumping that much light out. I'll agree that the reflector used is helping out a bit but it seems very over-rated. Our light (currently a prototype awaiting final design for...

    New Reflexes...

I don't think it's really saving battery. Plus it lacks the instant torque of the older controller. Sure, the older controller was more "jumpy" but it had the "hit the gas and watch me go" type feel to it - must be the younger side of me that enjoys that. And often times riding the trails - I...

What I like to see (or wish) for the 2017 Radrover

My wishes: Hydro brakes Speed regulated PAS levels WITH launch control (pretty much the smoothness of firmware "2" with the speed cutoff and beefy tq of firmware "1" Black grips with white bike or tan grips with black bike (the black on white looks AWESOME as does the tan on Black - which I...

    New Reflexes...

Bummer. I'm thinking I'm willing of swapping out with someone with an older controller for my newer controller. I'm not sure I'm a fan of the new controller. Wish I would have read your reply earlier, Lost.

    Hello from Northern California

Welcome! I'm in Rocklin (Sacramento area). I don't do any trail riding due to a bad knee but it's nice to see other e-bikers out in the area :)

    Operating my Radwagon?

I believe the radrover has the same shifters. You use your thumb to press the button to shift up. Then the lever at the top you push that up/over to shift down. The PAS levels you choose, 0-5, do NOT over-ride your gearing. The gears on your bike work like a normal bike. The PAS levels are...

    Car bike rack for radrover

I use the kuat nv 2.0 You can trim the front fender to make it work with the kuat. I did a few videos on my youtube channel about how to trim a fender and the quality of the kuat nv 2.0 www.youtube.com/adammjarvis

E-Bikes of America - Facebook group

Hey everyone - I created a group page on Facebook to further expand social interaction. There are many brand specific groups on Facebook but nothing USA based that is a rider based community instead of brand based. Trying to connect all brands together so we can all share, grow and expand -...

Some learnings after the first 100 miles

Regarding the brakes - You MUST break them in properly. I adjusted correctly (center) and did 2 hard stops down a big hill, 5 times. This provided some good initial bite. After about 50 miles the brakes were fairly quite and no more loud squeaks! I did have to buy a new rear rotor & while I...

    Woot!

Have you seen my photos of the headlight taken apart? It really is a joke. It's only running at 3v (unsure how many mAh, didn't test that). What do you have that's 11 watts? The connectors are pumping out 52v, FYI.

    Woot!

One of my hobbies is headlight modifications/retrofitting. Specifically HID & LED conversions. Thankfully over the last 8 years this has provided me with usable knowledge of beam patterns, kelvin scale and how our eyes adjust to said scale. I'm not sure how you define a "horizontal cutoff" as...

    Woot!

Speaking of lights.. in case anyone else cares to know of an update! (follow us on Facebook at: www.facebook.com/1859NW ) This is roughly 1000 lux - which with our choice in lens - comes out to about 3,900 lumens based on calculations using manufacture data.. We are currently working on a...

    New Reflexes...

Not sure what Mr golds controller is doing but mine gives power regardless of speed. I even made a video about it.. So power is based on PAS level - not speed. And it will deliver power regardless of speed (up to 20/24mph)

Trying to get the RadRover on a Seattle metro bus

The radrover wheel is 3.5" wide. I'll need to confirm this but regardless it's too wide of a wheel to begin with. I believe the tire, when inflated, comes out to about 4.25" wide. They just BARELY fit my rack tray which is good up to 4.5" wide.
