    Mounting Tubeless... Tricks??

To seat the tire bead, you can also use a compressor with a Schraeder to Presta valve attachment if you have Presta tubes. Are any of these tapes tubeless specific tapes? Try Stan's, they have a good reputation. Have any pictures of the problem areas to share? Likely not the rim. Most of my...

    Class 3 Legality?

I have a Class 3 bike and I *may* have ridden routes that are limited to Class 1. That being said, I don't ride like a jerk and I've never been stopped nor questioned for it. But if you are mostly riding on the local rec trails with your wife, and her speeds are mostly at or below 20mph, why...

    Electric Bike Lights

No insertion tool needed. I'd say you need patience and a steady hand but with your background that should be easy enough. Good luck!

    Electric Bike Lights

Sorry I wasn't more clear/thorough to begin with. Those really aren't standard. I'm sure you could place then reorder from Digikey to consolidate your orders?

    Electric Bike Lights

I stumbled across the connector mentioned earlier in the thread, which I bought overseas. It was Lupine's cable for Yamaha motors. It was also the wrong fitting (it was male, I needed female). I was at that point, on a mission. I hope that you also purchased the corresponding connection...

Giant Road E+ review and questions

I feel the same thing on a 2017. I think it's the nature of the design of the motor, unfortunately. With the motor off it feels the same way.

Giant Road E+ review and questions

It had about 3,900 mi. going into the shop. They warrantied the motor so I got a whole new one and added some spacers Giant sent them. What I gathered was that the motor will shift causing the squeak...Well, about 40 mi. in the squeak came back, and it's even louder and more pronounced than...

Congrats on the 395 mi. achievement! I'm sure the throttle was tempting to use!

    Lyft eBike battery fires

Cost and you want to minimize your touchpoints with the bike.

    Lyft eBike battery fires

That sucks. I thought they looked pretty sharp too. Batteries are most at risk for issues like this at the point of charge.

That looks sleek! And the motorcycle roots are evident.

    New Fantic Gravel Bike?

I took a snap on their website of a bike that appears new from their line: It looks like: SRAM Apex 1x hydraulic Aluminum frame Carbon fork with eyelets on inside QR thru axles Vittoria Adventure 38c tires Drop handlebars...flared? Brose motor 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" headset? Happy they dropped...

Why use a chain rather than a Gates belt drive

I have a custom hardtail mtb with splits on the seatstays with an IGH. In assembling, I got a deal on a XTR crankset, but with a bolt pattern that isn't compatible with Gates. OEM is different, but the mtb crowd had to really customize to do belt not too long ago. Not to mention the first...

What's your goal in doing this? For e.g., are you trying to not receive any further notices of responses?

Giant Road E+ review and questions

That is a possibility. Once I get the bike back, I'll ask why the motor was warrantied and share here.

Giant Road E+ review and questions

I'm about 3800 miles in. The bike was purchased in March 2018. I'm just bummed to not be riding and out a bike for 2 weeks! I'm taking public transport plus a foldable instead which isn't nearly as comfortable to ride.

Giant Road E+ review and questions

Those are both good. I've ridden the 8020's off-road. Rereading what you wrote, I realize you pedal through the turn which is probably why you were striking. If I pedaled through the turn I'd probably strike too with the same set of pedals.
