Heard from the dealer. Turns out - the frame on my Como 2.0 is cracked, which was causing the motor to move. I don't really ride hard - just the paved trails through the forest preserves of the Chicago's western suburbs. So, he's shooting for a new replacement bike for me - trying to get one...

Does anyone know if there's any extra cable for the controller hidden in the frame? I'd love to add a riser to get the bars higher, but can't unless there is more cable available.

We did. We bought the +2 at the bike store. I've managed to get the bike shifting about as smoothly as it can.

Yep. I was referring to Mtl_Biker referencing his/her RideControl EVO display.

On the LaFree bikes, it's RideControl One which has no LCD/LED display. Just a controller with lights that indicate level of assist and battery status.

I see, so the bike generates some of the ride data, ”uploads” it to the phone which stores it with the maps and gps data that it provides, then saves it. So while the phone can see the data the bike is providing, it’s not until it’s saved to the phone that it actually moves the data to the phone?

I was just wondering about the “upload” failing when saving. What Is being uploaded to where?

“Failure to upload”. Perhaps the app doesn’t store the rides locally? Did you have to create an account for your profile? Is there a place to see your rides online?

Using the iOS version, no problem saving rides. Latest IOS12 on iPhone 6plus.

We will experiment with it this weekend and see if those settings inform the AUTO setting.

I hope they provide a way to establish thresholds. I don't like too much assist when starting out. It'd be great if you could establish a min/max range that it operates between. Specialized does this on my Como, so I have a 35% min and 55% max and that seems very comfy for me. I have two other...

I don't think it does. It seems to kick into heavy duty assist right away, though I haven't tried it enough to know for sure whether it dials way back when you don't need it as much.

I bought my bike in October 2018 and have 1885 miles on it. Ride it Happy to say that my battery health is still 100%!

Ahh, yup, I see it. Thanks! Time to check what 1885 miles has done to my battery. I’ve already needed a new chain, and now I need new bottom bracket bearings.

Where does one find a battery health percentage?

In our case, we got the +2 on closeout for $1599 brand new. The +1 is still $2399, so it would be a difference of $800. We MAY still do it if we can't get the derailleur to work better.
