Serial #/model of the bike not the same as what Mission Control says -- how to fix?

When updating next time, have the dealer set the circumference to 2150mm / 84.64 inches to have it proper (this for a Como or any bike with Nimbus 650 tires). When you do this, your speed and distance will jive with other GPS systems, such as Garmin or Strava on the IPhone. When set higher, your...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Thanks, I am trying to determine if all the cracked frames were from the same year. So far, I think they were all 2018 bikes. So far, even though the design is the same, my replacement COMO 3.0 is fine. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope you get a bike soon...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

I am sorry to hear that, Paul. Out of curiosity, what year is your VADO?

    Do you break spokes?

Broke a spoke on my 2020 Specialized Como 3. Rear wheel, disc side at the nipple. This bike has seen about 2500 miles, mostly paved trails in the Chicago area. I had one go on my Como 2.0 (before the frame broke at the motor).

    LaFree Ebike

Really depends on the kind of riding you want to do. I have a Specialized Como 3.0, and my wife has a LaFree+2. I envy her tires! Mine are nearly slicks (Specialized Nimbus 650), but I can't find any 650s that have the kind of tread she has.

Como 3.0 not giving enough push...compared to others

The 'from the factory' setting on my Como 3.0 (Class 1) is 35/100, 75/100, and 100/100. When I first put the TDW on my old 2018 Como 2.0 (frame broke at motor mount), it was set at 35/35, 75/75, and 100/100.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

I think he means he'd swap the motor for the one on the damaged bike? I can see that taking an hour or so.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

The 2020 3.0 also comes with a larger chainring which makes the riding experience a little different. Actually feels like there is more top end. It’s not really a big deal to me. I got used to he difference after a couple of rides.

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

First, sorry to hear about your frame cracking. In my case, because I'd had the bike computer upgraded to the new version (installed by my dealer who sold me the bike), they made the case that I should be upgraded to the 2020 Como 3.0. Same basic specs as the 2018 Como 2.0 and, by the time...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

Wow. Hopefully, the new bike won’t break. Specialized hasn’t said anything but people are suggesting that the motor wasn’t torqued to the frame properly on some of the 2018 bikes. Mine is a 2020, which replaced a 2018. I have 1900 miles on mine and so far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed. But...

Loose Motor on Como 2.0 UPDATE: Cracked Frame (Vados too)

They replaced the entire bike, for me. The frame is guaranteed for life, but they did the entire bike anyway.

    New Como v2’s arrived!

I had to ask my dealer if it could be done under warranty. Apparently, the cost here in the states would have been between $150 and $200 installed. I was prepared to pay that, and asked again if he was just being nice or if Specialized was footing the bill, and he assured me it was Specialized.

    New Como v2’s arrived!

The conversion was done on my Como 2.0 under warranty by the Specialized dealer who sold me the bike two years ago. The installation is quite involved. because Specialized sold the bikes using the benefits of Mission Control, and then never were able to deliver it with the original display, they...
