Latest New Espin Sport/Flow update (1/14/2021)

The FedEx tracking number saying that my son's bike shipped out of LA wasn't really worth much. The tracking number was created and supposedly the bike had shipped and then about a week and a half went by and the tracking said it was still sitting in the warehouse in LA. According to FedEx as...

Who you for in the NFL playoffs this weekend?

Ya it's weird, it's almost like those who claim to love and respect the flag AND cops so therefore they can't watch football complain more about a football player kneeling than a bunch of like minded so called "patriots" storming the Capitol and using the American flag to beat cops. All in the...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Oh I assumed Uraksh was criticizing Taylor57's comment but I guess it could be interpreted either way

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I know you weren't asking me but I have a 700. I'm pretty certain not all of them do. It depends which controller they have I think

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I like what I've seen of their new mid drive but not likely in the market anytime soon

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I've ridden them both and maybe I'm biased but I do like the 700 series better, I feel like it fits me better although it does feel heavier. Maybe it's the different frame. I'm 6 ft 2 in and 220 lbs. I like the look of the fatter Schwalbe's though. .....but a lot of that is individual...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Yeah he's usually not that rough with his comments. I can't say for sure and I don't like to speak for others but I think maybe the events of the last few days aren't quite how he wished they would have been...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Not yet I think I saw something on how to do that I'm going to try it before we take it out next time. We've only had it out twice so far so. I would assume it would make a difference as well hopefully that'll be all we need to do. Even if it doesn't he's happy with it. I mean he's 14 and he's...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Well I guess my 700 series is power based because of the adjustable percentages for each level. Plus I've been in level two and gone over 20 mph pretty often. I'll check out the sport but yeah it feels like when you put it in level two at a lower speed the jolt of power is significant compared...

    Replace grips?

I was just wondering about this. I'm not riding my 700 that much since it's winter and I do like the grips overall but to rotate them in the position I want is a bit difficult, which makes sense you don't want them turning on their own, but I would like to set a lockable ones. What got me...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I'll have to take my son's bike for a ride and check it out but I'm sure somebody out here could answer regarding the speed vs power assist. I'm just northeast of Philly so it might be a little bit too chilly this week for that. As far as he's concerned I don't think my son's going to have an...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't really get that. I mean even in a assist level one if you're in the right gear and pedaling hard enough I would think it would go more than 7 to 8 mph. I would just like to be able to adjust the amount of power being put out by the motor in each assist...

I ended up putting a suspension seatpost on it and a more comfortable seat on my 700

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I like the look of the 700 better and after a couple of rides on the sport like the way it rides bit better but it's also $400 more. My son seems happy with the Sport after a few rides so that's what's important and I'm looking forward to some nice long rides with him when it warms up.

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Thanks I was hoping somebody's smarter would maybe post a solution....... I hope nobody takes it personal I wasn't criticizing the bike I think it's a very good bike especially for the price and my son's very happy with it but even he mentioned it feels like a pretty good jump between the two...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Well that was one of my hesitances but I put it together myself. Wasn't that much more involved in the sport and after talking to the owner my warranty is intact. I thought the sport was close and for the money it's a great deal but I ridden them both and the 700 series is better in my opinion...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

That's what I'm wondering. My son got his sport last week And I put it together and we took it out a couple of times. There's something mentioned about adjusting top speed regarding each level but that's not really the issue I'm worried about. I would like to adjust the amount of power in each...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

no I mean you can just put it down to zero, my son is only taking his out a couple of times and he usually keeps it on level 1. Like I mentioned in the other post I think the only real thing is it seems to be a big power jump from one to two. If it was my bike I would like to be able to lower...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

I don't know maybe I'm used to my 700 series but it seemed to me that the jump between level 1 and level 2 on the sport was a pretty good size jump. Maybe I would get used to it but even my son felt that way and it's his first electric bike. Not that it's a big deal but I could definitely see...

Espin Flow pedal assist power levels

Thanks, that's what I figured but there's no information in the " manual" regarding it. It seemed almost like it was a warning of some sort as if something was wrong but after a while I figured it was just the brakes
