    The Creo handlebar remote is only a button each side on the drops, I didn't think it had a button for walk assist.

    Yes and no is the answer for my Mk1 Creo, in standard form it hasn't due to no buttons to change the assist, however I did a flat bar conversion on mine and fitted the Vado assist switch which features walk assist and it works fine.

    Wish I could help but I have no idea, I think your suggestion of taking it to the fire station is the best solution as they probably have experience with electric battery fires i.e cars phones etc, ps is there some significance when you say "gray " Vado. Good luck.

    Not sure what wheels are on the Vado but on the Creo the bearings are in the hub and very easy to change.

    I have just had the same problem with my Creo after 5000 mls turned out to be a worn cage bearing on the drive side, cost me £5 to replace the 2 in the hub from local bearing shop. However if yours is under warranty I would take it to your dealer.

    Nice, I have really enjoyed the Creo since I flat bar converted mine, it was a great bike before but back problem forced the issue, after 4 yrs of ownership I feel I have got it exactly right for my use.

    Possibly the noise is higher on the carbon Creo rather than the aluminum Creo/Vado?
