I’d recommend considering shorter crank arms too - 160mm is possibly the sweet spot for many riders improving cadence and gaining more pedal clearance.

Frugal mode - you had better trade mark that one!

I’ve used both modes and came to the conclusion that Sport is best for sealed roads (it helps on long consistent gradient climbs better), and eMTB for off road. I rode a bike park in Tasmania recently and didn’t change gear on most trails at all using eMTB.

I have to say my SD Mountain is completely rattle free, even on rough technical trails. I don’t miss the kick stand at all (I lean the rear tyre on something pretty easily), and because I ride for pleasure and don’t go out when it is raining/too muddy, I mostly have not missed the mud guards...

My wife has a B17 on her 2020 Homage, and loves it. Having said that, her long distance rides are less than 40km, and she weighs only 58kg. An 82km 4 hour ride is no mean feat. Bravo!

Cycle/motor bike comms are actually pretty good these days. We have a set of Sena comms and get about 500m good range. there is a slight delay but you only notice this when the person speaking is right beside you. Over to you of course, but this is still my recommendation.
