    yamaha battery 500wh range

I can go 57 miles on a 500wh battery always using the 2 highest settings for 3 1/2 hours using. Starting at 90% and going down to 30% gets me 42 miles. The next 25% gets me 15 miles = 57 miles. I’ve never used my battery below 5%

2020 Civante Review, Initial 100 mile Impressions

I run Strava on my Apple Watch. Doing this transmits my heart rate to Strava. In order for Strava to calculate Avg Power, it uses the data it gets from my Apple Watch (which has an always on altimeter, a heart rate monitor, speed sensor, distance, heart rate cool-down monitoring after the ride...

2020 Civante Review, Initial 100 mile Impressions

I don’t use the device but I use the Wahoo app because I like using Komoot to plan my routes but Komoot doesn’t send routes to Strava. If I send my rides from Komoot to Wahoo, Wahoo will send my rides to Strava.

2020 Civante Review, Initial 100 mile Impressions

I attached a pic of the app Cyclemeter where is shows elevation. The 2nd pic is from RWGPS which shows gradient (the iPhone version of RWGPS shows gradient). Komoot also shows gradient.

2020 Civante Review, Initial 100 mile Impressions

LoL Dave, I’m new to it too but basically Wahoo and RWGPS are like the bike computer (Display X) that we have on our bikes. But, Wahoo, RWGPS and Kamoot add a Navigation component (using either an app on your phone or a Garmin/Wahoo device) that you can mount on your bike. They’re not just for...

    Purchase advice please

Yeah, I thought about that. I actually had one of the best customer service experiences at a Yamaha Motorcycle Dealer selling Yamaha ebikes. Their parts department knew exactly what they could and couldn’t get me from Yamaha (the LBS didn’t know specifics like availability of extra batteries...

    Purchase advice please

I read that they’re optimistic for the next 10 year’s. But beyond that, you are right, who knows.

    Purchase advice please

I know, but that doesn’t mean they won’t invest billions in their ebike division if they wanted to. It would be nice to have another carbon fiber manufacturer to compete with Giant on a global scale. They already make their own motor, battery and bike computer. All they need now is a carbon...

Stefan. Is there a reason you dislike Yamaha’s PAS bicycles/business plan? Even despite Yamaha moving their European OEM e-bike business from Japan to its EU head office in the Netherlands last May, you seem to have a bias against them expanding to the EU market. Are you trying to communicate an...

    Purchase advice please

Yamaha is already an official sponsor of the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta. It’s probably just a matter of time before their ebikes start selling in the EU. I’ve read that they plan on starting in the Netherlands. I’ll post something more concrete when I get updates.

    Purchase advice please

Yamaha started coordinating its European OEM e-bike business from its EU head office in the Netherlands last May. Has President Eric de Seynes not started selling Yamaha ebikes in the EU?

Yamaha gives you a lot for the money ($4,499 for the Moro). My Yamaha Road Bike Allows me to ride 57 miles on a full charge using the 2 highest settings. They also offer a 3-year warranty (which is one of the longest warranty’s in the ebike sector). Good luck...
