I have headset noise too. greased the bolts on the headset so the problem is within the spacers (I believe). I haven’t gone in yet to do that. I’ll be watching YouTube videos soon to see what’s involved. I agree the bike was put together poorly. I thought I needed new front and rear derailleurs...

Were you able to find out which cassette comes stock on our Civante?

When it’s time for new tires, I will definitely look into those tires (and GE lighter inner tubes). Can you please let me know which cassette comes stock with our Civante (when yoir mechanic takes off the old one). I am curious and I also look forward to hearing how the 105 cassette works...

My mechanic thinks the noise is coming from the spacers under the stem. I’m supposed to open up this area and check it out. We shall see.

Let us know how your 10-speed derailleurs work on the 105 11-28 cassette. I have read that 10-speed cassettes are better on ebikes because the sprockets are thicker than on the 11-speeds. I am also curious of a 10-speed crank works with an 11-speed cassette.

I put on Shimano’s ebike specific chain CN-E6090-10 and the performance is much better. It now shifts instantly for me. I was going to buy the KMC brand chain to save money but this chain is worth every penny.

I read that screws with a round dimples (see pic on upper left hand corner of the screw) require JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) tools in order to avoid stripping them. I found some on the rear derailleur. Did you ado find some under the fender plugs?

I’ve actually come to realize Yamaha is slow to bring new products (i.e. PW-X2-45 and PW-ST) to it’s American product line. We probably won’t see these two new motors until 2022 (I think). They’re so new to the US market so it’s hard to tell but they have released new products in the summer...
