    Bafang M620 Quiet Gears

Guys, the easiest way to quiet an M620 is to split the case and take out any grease found and apply a heaping tablespoon of John Deere Cornhead grease, available on Amazon. I've done several now and it makes the motor virtually silent that while taking video while riding can't even be heard...

Fat tire e-bike for hard packed beach sand, salt, and frequent rain

Low tide cycle in effect here. Did a down and back of the beach below my place and never had any issues with 2.4 tires including the soft sand between the ramp to the tide line both on and off.

Using the BionX CAN bus & technical info related

This may be an avenue you have already tried but this company is probably the best bet for parts supply and tech info left for the BionX brand? https://www.bx-legacy.com/pages/technical-support-information Otherwise you could post on the Endless Sphere eBike forum as there were some people...

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

Hadn't heard that. I don't see there is much that can go wrong with the one I have but I guess if it does I'll reach out to Devin and see what he can do? Too bad because it does work at a reasonable price with any cassette and derailleur. Oh well such is the state of the industry I guess.

    Luna Z1 - First impressions

I didn't even make it 2 1/2 weeks with the stock groupset before I had similar issues. I tried a few different things but finally came to the conclusion that the sticky shifting was because of the cable hanging up in the long cable housing. I bought an Archer Components system that got rid of it...

    Bafang M620 upgrade?

Try a lower gear ratio and a higher cadence. I know my 52v M620 performs on hills much better using that combo. At least as long as the voltage isn't below 45 or so......

    Tour de France 2024

Are you sure about that? ASO is nothing but a bunch of rich old men as well as most of the Team owners and the UCI itself and plenty of sponsorships come and go....for sure cycle racing is more exciting to follow than golf though!

    Tour de France 2024

Certainly happens in the pro peloton, average speeds are usually in the upper 40 to 50kmh range for stages. Even pro level gravel races average 20+mph these days.

Fat tire e-bike for hard packed beach sand, salt, and frequent rain

I have ridden miles of beach south of you on the north OR coast on a drop bar bike with 45c tires so the idea that you need a "fat" bike is not exactly necessary as long as you stick to below the tide line, however sometimes getting across the beach to that can be a bit of a struggle but I was...

    Mendiz y Polini EP3 +

I had bookmarked this a few years ago: I was intrigued by the user serviceability of the motor but living here in the U.S. it hasn't had a presence to be able to try one out.

    Tour de France 2024

The cycling press likes to dig into whatever drama they can. This interview and the questions asked with Tadej is a prime example: It's a long race and there will be moments over the next two weeks that will erase the memory of stage 9..........

    Plug shows signs of melting?

    Tour de France 2024

A bit disappointed that NBC isn't doing the World Feed that is sans commercials this year.....It seems like coverage access for cycling in general since GCN+ went away has not done the Tifosi any favors and not just for road biking but MTB and CX as well. One thing I do to supplement my...

    UL-2271 certification for Zen 52V, 20Ah batteries

Several years ago when I looked into battery certification I was amazed at the cost potential, per battery spec. I'm glad that Zen is in a position to absorb the costs and hope they get a substantial return on their investment! On another subject I just watched a Grin video of Justin...

Hub- vs. mid-drive for e-gravel/road bikes

I gifted my son two ebikes over the last few years. One is a hardtail mid drive with a TSDZ2 motor and the other is what is called a gravel bike these days I suppose with a dd front hub motor. He has come to the same conclusion that I did over the years that a hub motor bike is better for road...

    Bafang BBS-02/HD vs M600 vs M620 (Ultra)

I only put in a heaping tbsp of Cornhead in mine and the others I have done that replaced about a half a tsp. Those that fill the area with grease are in for problems I feel as there is no real gasket between the gearbox and the controller?

    Bafang BBS-02/HD vs M600 vs M620 (Ultra)

The torque assist on an M620 running the UART takes a bit of tuning from stock via a Windows computer and an accessory cable with the correct software. Along with a fair amount of hunt and pecking. Once achieved I find it to be on par with any pedal assist system I have experienced. Doesn't...

Bafang M620 Ultra motor broken? Low torque problem. Best retailer for US?

I didn't see the 52v UART version listed on CA. eBike and that was why I suggested GreenBikit which does? If you worked out that is what you needed with CA then that is probably the hold up as they have to special order it from Bafang in China. Hopefully you will receive it soon!
