2013 and 2014 Izip Dash brakes

I rode both Dash bikes for 2000 miles each. The brakes were constantly needing adjustment, and noisy. Finally I replaced the stock Shimano brakes with Sram BB7s. No problems, no noise. Very pleased with the result.

    IZIP DASH

Just got past 2000 miles on my 2015 Dash. This is 4,000 miles of ebike in 14 months. I sold my 2014 Dash with 2ooo and my 2015 hit 2000 plus today. Only problems are always related to disc brakes.

E3 Peak DS good for a first ebike??

FYI, My IZIPs are the Dash. But I do not believe there is a significant difference in the design except I have rear drive. I test drove the mid-drive and did not find enough difference for me to get one. As I said, I have had no problems with my bikes, but I am using rear-drives still. But I...

E3 Peak DS good for a first ebike??

My understanding is that Bosch is better made, more expensive than Currie's motor. But I have had no problems with my Izips. I had 2,000 miles on my 2014 and now I have 1000 on my 2015 and there have been no motor issues yet.

    IZIP E3 Vibe+ Video Review

My experience is there is always drag on my ebikes because the motor has magnets which are functional even when not engaged. I am no engineer though so I could be dead wrong. But I have always experienced some drag on my pedals on my ebikes.

    IZIP E3 Dash Video Review

I have the 2014 stripped down version of this Dash. I use Topeak racks on all my bikes and I already have various high lumen lights that attach. I put on after market fenders, horn Garmin and seat. I have gone 2350 miles since September and except for replacing the chain and tuning the bike...

    The new Vibe 3

My wife just got the new 2016 IZIP Vibe from our local shop, Richardson Bike Mart. First day out, Sunday, we went 30 miles. She used to ride regular bikes with me but hasn't in a while. This purchase was my attempt to get us riding together again. I have a 2014 Dash. I wish she had some of the...

Court, can you compare the 2015 Dash against the 2016?

I rode a Dash at the Electric Expo in Houston. It didn't impress me as being that much better than my 2014 although I have the rear hub motor. Whatever benefit is to be had it is not necessarily in superiority over previous versions and there is no throttle on the new ones. PAS only. Of course I...

    Joining the Dash club.......

I also acquired a Dash 3 recently and have put about 750 miles on so far. I use it in low power, high rpms to get max range except when in traffic or late. It does everything I ask of it and it does it well. I was going to post something about it but I have never figured out how to start a...

How's your Stromer Battery holding up?

The bike power is off. The charger I have does not have a switch. It connects to the bike, then the socket and it has one light which comes on with the fan. When charged the light turns constant green and I disconnect. Yes, it is a Stromer charger.
