    Cost-Benefit Comparison: Wearable Fitness Sensors

Definitely the way of the future. Look for viable companies in which to invest, because this could be a huge market. Me, I just rely on my legs, heart, and lungs to tell me when I've had enough, but for the X-Gen crowd this will be readily accepted. Wish I could live for another 100 or more...

Longest paved bike path in the USA

That is unbelievable. Just for bikers and hikers. Every state needs to invest in something like this. MD has a 20 mile paved trail around BWI airport which is nice and the NCR and C & O trails but nothing paved for this distance. Very nice. Enjoy.

Longest paved bike path in the USA

Darnit, I thought I had something going here. Maybe we could join the Sturgis rally as an auxiliary group. Something like "Sons of Electricity" on our lycra vests, lol. We could hold seminars on the ecological values of ebikes, and the value of a 500w vs 350W bike. I'm sure it would go over...

Longest paved bike path in the USA

That's amazing. You are going to have so much fun and such a beautiful ride going past all those lakes. I suggest carrying an extra battery just in case you want to go further on what I'm sure will be an amazing ride. Send some cool pictures of what the trail is like and what you see. It may...

The True Top Speed: should we be concealing it?

My Diamondback Trace EXC will easily do 27-28 mph on flat roads in pedal assist even with my 260lb load but I personally find that to fast for me in the urban settings in which I ride. I'm happy that they listed this and it was on the review here so I know what I was getting into from the...

    Larry Pizzi on Ebike Regs

Agree. Very reasonable. But 30mph, wow, are you Ironman or just have a big motor, lol. I feel comfortable at 20mph, and 28mph downhills sometimes, as trees are a bitch at that speed if you go off road for some reason...lots of trees and twisty windy roads here in Maryland, lol.

    Brooks Saddle Treatment, Pre-aged

Anyone else here riding a Brooks pre-aged saddle? I have the B17 S pre-aged saddle and am looking for others with similar saddles for ideas to treat it with conditioners. I have not used anything on it yet but know I will need to condition it soon. I have Proofide from Brooks as well as...

Cost-Benefit Comparison: Brakes for Fast Electric Bikes

Yes, on this I can agree completely. Car/truck drivers are complete a - holes when it comes to bikers, and I am included in the list at times. Bikers are hard to pass and groups are even harder on roads with no bike lanes like most in Maryland, hills and turns, lots of them. There is a...

Cost-Benefit Comparison: Brakes for Fast Electric Bikes

Mike, I'm just trying to have some fun posting and am excited about the new world if ebikes. With your "unique bike" comment, which I take that as a compliment, and I hope it was, since I don't think there are many DB ebikes out there yet or on this forum, I call an end to this. With that I...

Cost-Benefit Comparison: Brakes for Fast Electric Bikes

Just buy a scooter or motorcycle. No one is going to pedal an 80lb bike around. Just save some of the weight and lose the pedals. Seriously this is not an ebike by any means. Might be able to out run a hungry mountain lion, but I doubt it. Nice thing is the mountain lion will only eat...

Mountain Bikes Anger or Attract Mountain Lions

What do any of these posts have to do with ebikes? Pictures of salamanders and mt lion tracks? Just leave them alone before you get eaten like the Grizzly Man, lol. There has to be a better forum for your posts. Like "the tracking and want to be eaten by a mt lion coalition of CA". Maybe...

Just pre-ordered a RadRover from Rad power bikes...

If you look closely at the picture on indigo, it looks like a half twist throttle on the right handle bar and it does look like a twist shifter on the left handle bar, but look very closely at the left hand and it looks like they are in the process of shifting and their thumb is covering the...

    Helmet question

Find one that fits well and feels comfortable. That's all you need. Otherwise they are all the same.

What kind of helmets do you guys/gals wear?

Here's the key. I have have a 10 year old helmet that I brought in to my local PB shop to compare with newer helmets. Same technology, same molding, etc and they admitted that. Just wanted a newer better fitting helmet. I spent about an hour trying on different helmets until I found the...

    Finally did it

Buy a clamp on model from eBay or somewhere. They work great on our ebikes you just have to find the best place to mount it.

    Finally did it

Very cool bike. I wanted one for myself but didn't think the 350W motor would carry my fat guy body up hills, same weight as you, so I went with 500w from another dealer . Great to hear it is working for you and enjoy the ride. It is the best looking ebike on the market in my opinion.

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

Like I mentioned in a previous post, I dialed back one more turn on the tension bolt (about 4 to five turns from neutral) to a setting of about 2.5, added a Brooks B17 S Aged saddle right out of the box and the ride is amazing. Not like a wow moment immediately but after a few miles I realized...

Body Float Suspension Seat Post Thoughts

Great combo and I'm not getting paid for this. I was blown away by the combo of Brooks saddle ( pre-aged, whatever that means), and BF seat post. Brooks saddle has lots of flex with the open under seat design. Pre-tighten the laces slightly and what a great ride. Can't wait to go for 30...
