Imho unless you weigh 10 lbs or less you have to use pedal assist on every hill. These are not scooters, and you can't just use the throttle to avoid hills. I've ridden numerous ebikes now and can tell you that non of them are designed to simply scoot one up a hill on throttle only. Ebikes...

I too did some research recently on Volt Bikes and could find very little info anywhere. However, if you can get local sales and service and a decent warranty if at least one year and you like the bike and the price then it could be a great fit. Just make sure that they can service it locally...

Agreed. Definitely watch the you tube videos on how to adjust to proper tension, and first of all make sure to order it with the proper spring configuration based on weight and riding style, the Tech Support people at BF are very helpful with this. The saddle install and adjustment is easier...
