    Diamondback selling off their ebikes

I just check the DB website and saw no evidence of a "huge" sale on their ebikes. Please provide a link or source to confirm this. Otherwise this is pure BS. Unless these are last year's models that they are discounting. Either way please provide your sources for this information.

    Diamondback selling off their ebikes

I own the Trace EXC and have tested the Lindau and both are excellent. If you can find them at that price I'd buy 10 each and add 50% at resell when they are gone. Problem is that DB was/ is selling through Performance Bike and they know nothing about ebikes or how or to whom to sell them...

The bike that changed my life....

Got it. Major brain fart, thought it was Ravi in the story. Oh well, glad you don't have Parkinson Ravi. In either case I still stick by my last post and I have changed the names to protect the innocent, lol. Thank you for the info PowerMe, I find myself vehemently chastised.

The bike that changed my life....

I feel you holding back on your response to Bike-on here PowerMe, kinda biting your tongue. Here's what I have to say. I doubt if Ravi is riding on any beaches and if it helps him get out there and ride again and feel the wind in his face then that is priceless. It may look like a toy from...

What kind of headlight do you use (or recommend)?

Cygolite Pace 800 / Hotshot ST headlight and tail light combo. USB rechargeable, 8 and 4 modes of operation respectively, very easy to install and remove for recharging, somewhat on the high end of price but will last a lifetime and will rarely need batteries. There are many choices...

The bike that changed my life....

Well said PowerMe and I agree fully and had somewhat of the same experience at Performance Bikes. Ravi is a true inspiration for anyone who didn't think that they could still enjoy the fun and excitement of riding a bike again. Ravi you keep on keepin on and we will ride together soon. Your...

    Surface 604 Finally Surfaced

Hey surface 604 has finally surfaced. Too little too late imho, and only 250 or 350W options, forget about it. Looks like they spent too much time designing and too little time asking what people actually want in a fat bike. Anyway enjoy. They are way late to market imho. Not a bad looking...

    The new Optibike SIMBB FatR

$9,600?!?, #&*%#% $×$#%...sorry I just swallowed my tongue. Thanks. I'll think about it, lol

    The new Optibike SIMBB FatR

Looks like you are the man in the know about Optibikes. So what is the bottom line on the price of this beauty? Don't keep us waiting as I may have to take a second mortgage on my house to afford one, lol.

    The new Optibike SIMBB FatR

Looks sweet with battery and motor in one unit, but what is the power of the battery that can fit in that small of a space. Very cool though and could be the design of the future. Much nicer than a rear mounted battery.

    Is 750W too much?

Rear gears are also very utilized with the rear hub motor while pedaling, though I don't think they play a part when in throttle only mode, but who uses that anyway. I use all PAS levels for hills and different gears and haven't found a hill yet that I couldn't climb, although I'm not that...

    Is 750W too much?

I don't think that you'll ever be sorry by over sizing the motor and battery, and 750w is by no means too much power. Add the most powerful battery that will fit with the motor and you'll be happy. If you under size these items you will have regrets, in my lame azz opinion. I have 500W, 48v...

    Never purchase Brooks Proofide....

If the soup has not leaked through the bag, and if it did I can imagine the mess, try putting it all I the fridge to firm up the proofide. It will work just as well cold as it melts at body temperature. Just a thought. I would let Brooks know as well to better secure there lids. All it...

    Rolexs and stromers.......

No ebike will ever appreciate like crazy except if you have one a hundred years from now in brand new condition and can sell it at an antique auction. Just like a car the more you ride it the more it will depreciate. With modern technology everyone wants the latest and greatest so forget about...

Should eMTB's Be Allowed On Traditional MTB Trails?

There you have if folks, we in the ebike world are not trying to dominate traditional conventional bike domain but only enjoy it as we could have if we we younger or healthier. Many of us are older or have medical conditions which prevent us from riding conventional bikes, but we still want to...

    A Cool "Thing"???

Looks very cool, but so low that it's hard for cars to see. Cars are the enemies of cyclists. All the best to them.

    How to avoid swallowing bugs

Just get one of those cheap dust masks at your hardware store and you'll be fine. You'll look silly as hell, like someone in ebola country but it will work. Otherwise a bandana over your nose and mouth will work. Just remember to take it off before you go into the bank, lol

How hard do you negotiate for that eBike?

Actually got 20% off for my Diamondback Trace EXC off at Performance Bike plus another 30% in store credits....great deal. Have to wait and look for the best deals...they are not just going to offer them to you, especially smaller bike shops.
