    Regenerative Braking?

I agree to your last sentence in brackets. But as I wrote this this year somewhere in a forum (but I don't remember where...), let me ask, was it somewhere here and you now repeat my phrases or do you get this arguments from somewhere else? That we know how many independent "sources" we have...

creo with two wheelsets: gravel mode activated!

I really have no idea of MTB shoes&pedals... Now you did it and made me order my first pair of shoes and pin pedals, thank you very much! If you feel any any bad conscience, any help via Paypal will be appreciated! ;-) But I still have one concern, that the pedal pins may easily hurt my shins...

creo with two wheelsets: gravel mode activated!

Stefan, all your arguments against SPD/fixed pedal connections exist for decades. What has "changed" in the world? You don't win any arguments only with dramatic intimations/hints. It's terrible if any cyclist is put in danger or hurt by a car. But what has this to do with SPD, do the SPD cleats...

creo with two wheelsets: gravel mode activated!

Then it's clear that grippy (MTB) shoes and grippy MTB pedals are the better choice for you! Ok! The normal Patfinder Pro that comes on the EVO Creos is like this. It has less grip than your "grip monster", also less then the Panaracer SK, more like The G-One Allround, but much more durable...

creo with two wheelsets: gravel mode activated!

About pedals: In three years an several thoudands miles of gravel biking I never had a situation were a couldn't get out of the clicks fast enough. This may be different at real MTB riding (I'm still a MTB beginner), but I guess this is more for younger folks, who are more capable to save a...

Specialized Turbo Creo 28mph Electric Road Bike

Storing lithium-ion batteries in cold condition is no problem (even if there are myths that say so). The only problem is that "electron flow" is much slower, means charging or decharging (=using/riding with motor support). Charging can be very slow with a frozen battery or even harm the battery...

    New Vados, Comos, and TERA!

I guess with the new Tera a new SL Hardtail is quite far away. My dealer said the same today... :-(

    New Vados, Comos, and TERA!

Sorry if I overlooked it here or in other threads. Is there an hint for a MTB hardtail with Sl drive for 2022? In our german forum here were some rumors last year about a planned Levo HT SL, what would seem quite logical for me. But as there are still no news about it, it seems it was more hope...

    General Creo questions

Why don't you ask your dealer? Or just use a caliper and measure the seat tube yourself? About carbon parts on bicycles: My experiences are not that long yet, just three years on my first gravel bike and one year on the Creo. But today I totally trust in frames and forks of serious/well-known...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

I think the main idea of ebike is to increase your personal amount of cycling/to decrease the obstacles which prevent you from cycling. Usually this goes along with more fun&joy and a higher average speed, no matter if you use the motor a lot or very little. Of course average speed will be lower...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

I think this is a misunderstanding Stefan. No one wants to tell anyone how much motor support he/she has to use or what ebike to ride. I/"we" only say, that ebikes with assist drives like SL are so light and ride almost like a normal bike, that you can even benefit from them/more than from a...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

I wonder about such a statement from you while you already ride some months one of the best (in terms of weight/handling/agility) ebikes on the market. I'm with you that many normal/heavy ebikes are a pain to ride longer distances without support. But "assist ebikes" like SL ride almost like a...

Surgery recover/an ebike mainly for hill assist???

Elkman you are right, that ebikes are quite expensive and that a road or gravel bike also would help many riders to cycle faster/longer and for less money. But money is not the topic here. It's also great, when somebody is happy with a bike without any motor! It's also true, that many ebikes...

    Ebikes….Cheating?

One is still exotic with an assist drive ebike like SL. So I'm always expecting ebikers with normal big drives/motors yelling "Cheater!", when I pass them with the Creo.... ;-) It did not happen so far, but I will notify here if so... ;-)

    Ebikes….Cheating?

Same here. I rode a normal gravel bike before when we lived in a quite flat region. Two years ago we moved to a hilly region and my rides always ended much to early. I bought a Creo Evo and my rides are 2-3 times longer and with more height meters than and more burned calories then before. I'm...

    Vado SL charging error

The temperatures here are totally normal/ok for a Li-Io battery and the charging speed is not that fast, about 0.5 C. The SL charger is the hottest one I ever saw and no one else ever needed a cooling fan. But I will place it on some kind of metal or stone/ceramic plate.

    Vado SL charging error

Yes, the SL charger is the hottest thing we ever had. I mean, the hottest charger we had in nine years of several e-bikes... ;-) I don't know why (the charger is not slow, but also not that fast and quite big, not that tiny/stuffed). But the heat of the housing is terrifying. It's ok, if you...

specialized made too many XL and XXL creos!

Is this a US offer only? Is Specialized acting there as a dealer (like Canyon in Germany)? There is no such offer on the german Specialized website and I also never heard of Specialized reducing just special sizes. But Specialized is not selling here directly to end customers, you always have to...

Replacing my stolen Vado 5.0 with a Vado SL 4.0?

Stefan, you simply choose the wrong friends. You shouldn't search them among ex-olympic athletes, watch out in some fast food restaurants next time! ;-) No, I was talking about uphill with speeds below or up to 25km/h, where all of us get motor support. I usually (slowly) pass all other ebikes...

Replacing my stolen Vado 5.0 with a Vado SL 4.0?

Stefan why do you bring up your need for motor support over 25km/h here? I still doubt your need ;-) but let's discuss this in a private conversation. The TE/TO here asked for hills (and of course the 25km/h does not exist with Vado/Creo SL in the US...). I will adjust my thoughts a little bit...
