Specialized ROLL Hub Conversion - Q&A

I wouldn't send it back. Give an honest, to-the-point, short review at Amazon. Explain that the motor quit after 500 miles and the difficulty contacting Greenergia and sorting out the logistics of replacing parts and/or the kit. Then buy a factory eBike for your wife. :) You could make the...

Specialized ROLL Hub Conversion - Q&A

The kit linked through the endless-sphere thread is a Voilamart. "Kit bought here: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Voilamart-26 ... 4902.l9144 " The SW900 error codes also don't line up with Bafang errors. SW900 error table SW102 error table Can't help with the motor tech. But there are...

Specialized ROLL Hub Conversion - Q&A

If you disconnect the controller-to-motor cable you'll also get an error 9. When you opened the motor did you look at the copper coils? They can melt when the motor overheats under hill climbing duress. Burning out Bafang hub motors...

    Chain lube?

I've used the Roll Gold as well. Good stuff. Currently using Dupont's Chainsaver which is also a dry type lube. https://www.amazon.com/DuPont-Chain-Saver-Self-Cleaning-Lubricant-14-Ounce/dp/B00D3G6FD4/ Another popular one is Finishline https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00U30TFAS/

Is the Bafang motor used on the Crosscurrent line customized for Juiced?

Curiously enough... At lunch I went to check for loose spokes on my bike and one snapped out of the nipple. So... I suppose it will be wheel lacing night. :)

Is the Bafang motor used on the Crosscurrent line customized for Juiced?

I see now... The Light Bicycle chart is a bit conservative. This one from Wilderness Trail Bikes shows the CCX tire (28x1.75 / 700cx45c) in the optimal range for a 24mm rim. WTR - Tire & Rim Compatibility Chart https://www.wtb.com/pages/tire-rim-fit-chart# Where did you find the DM24...

Is the Bafang motor used on the Crosscurrent line customized for Juiced?

At a 24mm inner width, the DM24 looks to be too wide for the standard tire. Juice's website specs the CCX tire at 28x1.75. Light Bicycle - Tire Size Compatibility Chart https://www.lightbicycle.com/newsletter/tire-size-chart-for-bicycle-rim.html The Alex DH19 looks to be a better fit for...

    Mid-drive vs hub motor: Experiences

This is my experience as well. With the Bluenergy/Greenergy kit controller, the PAS setting acts as a pedal activated throttle with a speed cap. BAFANG Rear Wheel 500W 48V Hub Motor with SW102 Display Indeed. For exercise (and to generate body-heat in these winter months), at times I...

Ebikeling 1200w rear wheel kit from Amazon

I don't think there is any difference in the caliper - only the size of the disc (160 vs 180) and mounting position. My bike came with an 180 mm setup up front, so installing the TRP was plug-n-play. The rear is 160 mm and I have an old BB5 installed there.

Slow shift into highest gear and jumping a tooth with hard pedal

I've had a similar experience. I'd take the bike in and it shifted no different when it was returned. And more than one LBS. Since then I learned how to do my own adjustments. It takes a bit of practice, but this video from Park Tools will walk you through the steps.

I would build the bikes the same. Really. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the Bluenergy kit when it arrived late last year. I didn't buy a complete kit with a battery, because I was unsure what I would be getting. Was this thing crap? Lurking here and Endlessphere, the theme...

4 Bike 500w Rear Hub Motor Builds from Greenergy

How do you know the BMS is junk? Have you opened the battery case and identified the BMS board and manufacture? The incentive for Bluenergy/Greenergy is to provide quality budget kits. Otherwise, word will travel and they'll be out-of-business. Greenergia can just list a different...
