Pulling Core out of Juiced CCX hub motor

The clicking sound is typically from worn pedals, bottom bracket, or the motor cassette tower. I just replaced my bottom bracket on my Electric Electra Townie (uses the same motor as the CCX) and that solved the clicking. For help replacing the cassette tower, see this link...

Pulling Core out of Juiced CCX hub motor

I do the same thing but always remove the cassette with a removal tool before unscrewing the screws. The core will pull right out. Make sure not to lose the copper washer on the axle.

Loading 60+lbs ebike onto Hitch Mast Style rack arms using climbing rope and top tube adapter

That's a lot of weight for a top tube adapter. More than failure of the adapter is the chance the seat pops off the seat post.

    Lishen 21700 Cells in US

The battery is capable of offering 39 amps. Well above the max (25 amps) the controller might request in the given setup.

Bike arrived with a broken derailleur hanger and bent fork, Ride1up says tough luck. Thoughts?

Looks to be a bad fork. The hole on the fork should be centered over the tire and is where one would attach fenders and other accessories. It's off to the side. Attached is a photo from a Core-5 review. It looks better, but still a little askew. https://ebikeescape.com/ride1up-core-5-review/?amp=1

    Testing derailleur limits

You use sight and sound as described in the Park Tools video posted by Timpo to get the derailleur dialed in (really really close). Then use the barrel adjuster on the shifter cable for fine adjustments while riding to complete the setup. To adjust the derailleur on my Electra Townie I mount...

Electra Townie conversion with kit from Bluenergy

Hey there! I still love my custom Electra Townie. It’s relatively light, fast, and fun to kick around. When I started this project in late 2018, I wasn’t ready to drop $1500 or more on an entry-level bike like those from Juiced or Rad Power. And I liked my bike. Installing a kit was the least...

    New build

Attached is the manual for the SW102 display. When I bought mine, there was a card in the box with a QR code linking to the manual. The EggRider edition is the SW102 with custom firmware and does a lot more stuff.

    bafang 750 watt hub motor,

I go up curbs all the time. But I do lean forward and stand on the pedals to assist. Never had a problem with pinches, broken spokes, or bent rims. Though like m@Robertson, I have custom built wheels (Sapim strong 14 ga spokes).

taco bell drive thru /not a bike under florida law/class action lawsuit?

Me neither. But it seems when one posts on public Twitter about an incident, it catches the attention of the corporate PR staff, unlike email or a well intentioned letter.

@Timpo This is in your wheelhouse. Standby... Timpo has good advice on options.

taco bell drive thru /not a bike under florida law/class action lawsuit?

Your end goal is for ebike guests to be welcome at the drive thru. I'd advocate this @tacobell on Twitter. They'll respond. No need for legal matters and such.

    Best tire spoons?

I like Pedro's. https://pedros.com/products/tools/wheel-and-tire/tire-levers/ More important, follow PedalUma's advice and pinch the tire to the center of the rim.

External vs Integrated battery packs - which do you prefer and why?

External, because that gives me choice. Thumb throttled, same Hub motored, less drivetrain maintenance

DO the Cranks need to be so Short?

Shorter cranks are also gentler on one's knees as there is less knee travel. Especially for riders with shorter legs.

Dillenger / SP Crosstrail build thread

Interesting... That motor appears to peak at 1000W. And it looks like one can get a cassette version on AliExpress though the lead time is several months. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000779761222.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.3.2b353dd1plFqBK
