How Do I Make The Yukon 2018 Voltbike faster?

You need to change the CUL which is current setting to 15 also, Canada it should be set to 10 amps for 500W. You can set these numbers higher but they are hard coded in the controller that as far as I know nobody has tried to cable in and change them with APT software. Will go to about 22 MPH...

Poles in Motor – 850C Display Upgrade – VoltBike Yukon

Not sure if the below is correct or not, seems wrong to me because all Bafang systems do not use poles statement. Anyone with the DPC14 (same or similar as 850C) that want to chime in on this questions (thread). Still sounds like it just does not matter and does nothing but would be nice to...

Locking Up with a Front Basket

Never tried it, would not leave my bike alone. I have brought inside stores but would never leave it outside, to big of a target. Pretty tall bike would think it would clear the rack.

Poles in Motor – 850C Display Upgrade – VoltBike Yukon

Just found a third definition of Poles in motor. Now it should be 4, 6 or 10. Anyone want to take a guess (I am not sure so all answers will be correct at this point)? Poles in motor: 4 - magnetic poles inside the motor, divide this by gear-ratio in motor, which is 5, e.g. 20/5=4 poles

Poles in Motor – 850C Display Upgrade – VoltBike Yukon

Everything has worked since day one including watts. Main reason for change was to see voltage on main screen but really like the look overall. Speed on top and the watts show on bottom. Would be nice to know what the Poles mean for sure how APT is using them with the Bafang motor. I still...

Poles in Motor – 850C Display Upgrade – VoltBike Yukon

Wanted to mention one more thing. On a KT-LCD3 they have a P1 settings that may be somewhat related to "Poles in Motor". Think for the P1 you just take gear reduction which is 5 multiplied by magnets in motor which is 20 that gives you P1 setting of 100 (common on the hub motor). Maybe this...

Poles in Motor – 850C Display Upgrade – VoltBike Yukon

Had a question about my upgraded 850C (DPC14) display on the VoltBike Yukon. I have last year model with HW version E2.1/ SW Version 1.0A-V2 the newest one pictured below with color settings menu has HW version E2.3/ SW Version 2.0A-V2. Looks like the only thing confirmed different is the Auto...

    Single gear vs multiple gears

I have the EBC, it has 1300 watts to get you started from a stop with ease. I do not miss the gears on that one. Also has a 56T front and I think 18T on back so no hamster wheel on this bike. My point is the gears are not really needed and with the 18 amp battery you have a lot of miles. My...

    Yukon 750 limited controller

Not sure which year he has but the 2018 model forward added a 25 amp controller but it is software locked to 15 max. Yes you can change the controller. Likely best way is a KT display with a new controller, maybe something like the Radrover upgrade but not sure if that kit works with Yukon.

Alternate Cassette for Yukon 750 (2019 Model)

This came from Voltbike for another user trying on the FaceBook site. Most just change the front which would not help you for lower gearing. Does not sound like the greatest answer. "To remove freewheel where oversize power chord blocked the use of standard freewheel tool: Unfortunately this...

How Do I Make The Yukon 2018 Voltbike faster?

It is on all. The 2019 models has not confirmed this yet but do not think controller was changed. Easy to try just go to 20 and check the P setting or watts to see how high it goes, over 1000 with full battery they changed the lock. I doubt it.

    Yukon 750 Limited Feedback Wanted

Just a heads up, looks like the 2019 Yukon come with the Kenda Juggernaut 30 TPI now instead of 60 TPI Kenda Krusade Sport tires. The new one has the white reflective strip. Frame has the mounting holes welded to bike for front rack. Not sure what else has changed because the website lags...

    Yukon 750 Limited Feedback Wanted

Top speed is around 22mph with assist, you can keep going with leg power alone. Controller is locked at 15 amps, you can change to 20 but you only get 15 max. Bike is Class 2 and is locked down. M2S has a class three similar to Voltbike if you think more speed is needed, use same motor but...

604 surface Colt e-bike loss of battery climbing hill

Just in general all batteries work like this, they have a low voltage cutoff. Normally around 42vdc, if you have a volt reading you can watch the volts and stay above to keep it from cutting out. Going up hill you are under load.

750w Bafang rear hub brake error.

Then brake inhibitors will shut down the engine if that is what you are asking. Think it is magnetic on most. Here is a video that explains one type. Maybe you can short the wires or pull apart, not sure if normally open or closed circuit.

    Question about Voltbike Mariner

Yes on the 22 for fat tire to have speed and distance measured a little closer. Tire pressure can affect it also but 22 will be close enough. P10 was used in the past for throttle control (setting zero). Think they use the 800S display now that may not have that setting anymore. Maybe the...

Looking for a step through with throttle and 28mph pedal assist

I have had my Model S for two years with no issues. Has plenty of power (1300 watts for short bursts) to get you going from a stop. They will add gears if you want but really do not think they are needed. You can also choose the gearing for single speed to be a little higher if you want. I...
