A Vado rider on a FB Vado/Como group had the creak. His LBS inspected and found a frame fracture. Specialized gave him a new bike. Also, why was my 2020 Vado 4.0 Dove Grey made 10/12/2018 (via frame S/N sticker)? Seems odd.

Vado enthusiasts: what’s the smart way to get some cages and straps on my Vado? I’d like a little more connection to my pedals than the platform pedals provide, but I do not want to go clipless.

My plan is to not touch it while it’s charging. Just wanted to document that even the 4A charger gets hot during a charge.

4A charger on my Vado 4.0 gets toasty. That’s about 157°F.

I tell people that with my Kinekt, I'm more willing to stay in the saddle when I hit speed bumps. Sacramento is filled with speed bumps. Before Kinekt, I put several inches between my saddle and my tush when hitting the speed bumps.

The creak syncs with the stroke, one creak per cycle. Stop pedaling, no creak. Almost like a frog when you’re pedaling along. BTW on the flats, I can understand why folks yearn for a bigger chain ring. I try to upshift, and I’m all out of gears!

LBS thought it might be the saddle. Verified it wasn’t. I heard the creak before swapping out stock seat post and saddle with Kinekt and an old Tailbones Serfas. Creak did not change.

Experts, will the 5750L fit the Vado without needing to be Dremeled or otherwise beaten into submission?

What's strange is that Court's Vado 4.0 review was early in the model year and I bought mine at the end? of the model year.

I ordered the 420mm and it's probably too long for my Vado 4.0. Pushed all the way in it seems to work, but 350mm is probably the better choice. If I ever want to sit lower, I will need to cut it.

Specialized shows it high on the 2020 4.0. Same in Court's review.

Not the 4.0s...

The color is fine; high visibility can help you avoid being killed by drivers. But why move the headlight down to the arch? That seems like a miss, as Court would say.
