    noisy motor?

You shouldn`t get a clicking sound, thats not normal. It`s more like a low whirring sound i reckon.

    removable display?

James, I wouldn`t be too concerned with the motor, if you`ve just bought it it`s sure to be one of the latest type. Anyway, if you have it on the bike already put your head right underneath and you should see the serial number on the base of the motor, check it starts with 15.

Official response from Bafang re. Motor spec.

Theres been a lot of speculation and wild claims by certain sellers regarding the spec of Bafangs motors/controllers. This topic has been discussed both on this forum and other ebike forums. Is there a 16 FET version or not? Well yesterday i contacted Bafang for their comments on this claim...

    removable display?

That is the main problem, could you not get it inside somewhere safer? It`s going to be some hassle disconnecting and connecting the display and buttons every day. `750w BBS02 16mosfets + 48v 14ah lithium.` btw, 16 fet controller? Did you buy off that guy on Ebay?

    Next Conversion 48V BBS02 750W

Checked that just now, yes you do have to allow for another inch and a quarter to be able to lift the battery clear. You could also mount it `upside down` on the down tube as well.

    Next Conversion 48V BBS02 750W

Andre, Have a look here for similar---> http://www.aliexpress.com I ordered a 48v 13aH battery with my BBS02 kit from there. So far so good on the battery but if i was doing it again i`d go for a 15aH or 20aH item. In my location you don`t go more than 500 yards and there`s a steep hill...

    Please Help. My BBs02 750w c965a motor won't react

As CourtJ says those are the things to start with.. Was this run on the flat or an incline? Is the motor the latest model, you`ll see the date of manufacture right underneath. You didn`t check the motor to see if it felt hot? Hopefully not a fried controller, but...

    SURLY KRAMPUS 29+ BBS02 750W Nuvinci N360 Project Rationale

@Go-Coo It was my intentions to switch to the NuVinci too but looking at your chain tensioner at the drop-outs i can`t see how i can do this. How would i tension the chain, can`t pull the hub back. My drop-outs go straight down, yours straight back - any suggestions?

Mid Motor fitted onto foldup bike

Good question, it was already wired! The power from the battery goes into that green button switch on the handlebars first then to the light, unless there`s some kind of resistor in there to drop the voltage. The light is leds, no voltage markings on it..

    Is 750W too much?

You`re right about finding yourself in too high a gear too often - so are we talking NuVinci or what? They`re a bit pricy, and how do they hold up to the 48v/750w torque?

    BBS02 chains and gears?

Ok, those with mid-drives, what gearing do you find the best? The chainring that comes with the 8FUN kit is a 46T usually, do any find that a bit too high? Also what ratios at the back wheel the best? At the minute i have a 14T - 34T 7 speed freewheel with the 46T at the front. Ok for the hills...

Mid Motor fitted onto foldup bike

Yes, the motor is 250w and the battery is 48v 10aH, its ok if you don`t have many steep hills where you are. The lights front and back came on the bike and run off the battery.
