    Tern 2017 Vektron S10 vs 2022 version

Sorry for the confusion, I was referencing the Vektron S10 as it was mentioned in the end comments. Not really fair to compare a Vektron and QH as they're intent is pretty different. Unless you really need a folding bike the QH or Cube Compact or HSD are going to be better riding bikes, IMO

    Pannier recommendations for Vektron

If they were new in the last couple years you should be okay. That said unless they're a great deal the pair of Back Rollers run $195 depending on color. I can triple check on the Vektron I've got on the floor to make sure they work if you'd like!

    Tern 2017 Vektron S10 vs 2022 version

The 2022 has a much better drivetrain and the new Bosch Performance motor is superior to the older generation that 2017 has. The newer motor is more efficient and lighter too. If it were my money I'd spring for the new one. Should that 2017 need a drive unit (not likely but still) there's no...

    Pannier recommendations for Vektron

Congrats on the new bike! The current Ortlieb panniers (we stock the Back Roller and Sport Roller) all have the larger clamps that play nice with most e-bike rear racks. I've mounted them onto the Vektron just fine, could be a good solution? The Back roller's are the larger of the two, sold as...

    Superdelite MTB Style Fenders

Have you checked out the Mudhugger fenders? They work pretty well for our wet winter eMTB riding, could be worth a gander! https://www.themudhugger.co.uk/

    RAGBRAI 2022

Sorry to hear about the Covid scare! Yep, I just got back from doing day 2-7, SO MUCH FUN!!! Saw quite a few e-bikes too, even a mom carrying her kiddo on her Tern GSD, I'll dig up a pic!

    Parts availability for 2022 Como/Vado?

You can take those part numbers and start surfing the phones for other dealers that might be able to have or track down those parts maybe? AXA has been around for quite a while overseas and are becoming more present in the NA market (Gazelle for instance uses them). Those locking parts will...

tern hsd comfort for touring for tall rider?

Hey Jeff! I'm definitely not 6'4" but have fit a few folks that are that tall to the HSD family. Which model are you leaning towards? It's worth mentioning that there are 4 lengths to the Physis Handlepost so you can get the bars in a better position for your height. The HSD comes with the...

    Opinions on a 2018 GSD S10.....

Warranty won't transfer, but that doesn't mean the shop can't go to bat for you. Depends on their relationship with the brands honestly. Recently we had a failed Bosch drive unit out of warranty. They okayed the repair but the customer would have to buy the drive unit, albeit at a discount. This...

    Opinions on a 2018 GSD S10.....

Hey there! Man from a dollar value wise that used GSD is a pretty good deal, even if you have to buy a new powerpack. Depending on where you live that lower torque motor could be sufficient. Those older drive units are plenty reliable, it's just the powerpack that's the concern at that age and...

    Cannondale Topstone Gravel Ebike

Sure more weight saving but the point of a 650b size is to run a wider tire for more comfort and control when not on paved surfaces.

    Class 3 Cargo Bikes?

I'm done engaging in the derailment of this thread as I answered the original question directly and was hopefully helpful. Ask someone in the industry? Been at it for 20 years and own a shop, how much more "in the industry" would you like? Nice conversion, has nothing to do with OP's question...

    Class 3 Cargo Bikes?

Not sure what news you've been reading but the entire global economy is experiencing those pains, nothing exclusive to Yuba in the slightest. Their e-cargo offerings are fantastic and blow any home made thing out of the water. Different price point, sure, but there's no arguing with the...

    Class 3 Cargo Bikes?

Worth noting that it's the Spicy Curry All Terrain that gets the Bosch Cargo Speed motor, the regular SC gets the class 1 motor. R&M offers all of their cargo bikes in class 3 variety. The Load 60 and 75 are front loaders. The Multicharger is a rear load. Also the Benno Boost is available with...

    Step through MTB options?

Have you checked out the Bulls Copperhead Evo Wave HD? It's a hardtail w/dropper post, pretty capable bike with the Bosch CX motor. Currently they make it in a 48cm which might be on the small side. Later this year they'll release a version with the Bosch Smart System and offer it in the 54cm...

[UN-RESOLVED, Again!] Specialized "Rider - I Don't Care" Support is non-existent, what is YOUR experience? (poll) (NEW SYSTEM IN PLACE 4-21-22)

Sorry to hear y'all aren't having a good time dealing with them directly. That's the benefit of having a brick and mortar business. Email/call/text/walk in and you get my undivided attention. Dealers have much better, more direct, channels of communication. If you feel like your local shop isn't...
