I think to be a true class 3 ebike, it should not have any throttle(if you're going by the books).

It's usually can be set up as class 3 sold, but all these bikes can easily unlocked by user for higher speed. Ariel Rider, Biktrix & Juiced have bikes that can go 30+mph throttle alone.

So far I like most of what I hear on this bike. Is the bike display for this bike set(it will depend on your final motor)? And will it be removeable? Also forgot to ask, the gearing(chainring size at front, & cassette in rear).

Personally if I wanted to ride a fast e-bike on a budget I would concentrate at rear hub drive bike options first. You only recently switched to a mid-drive motor e-bike for first time, as all your previous ebikes have been hub motor bikes? If your wife, doesn't care for your heavy modified...

One thing you don't take in account I'm guessing, the OP doesn't have a car. The e-bike will be main vehicle of transportation. I think a capable 28mph e-bike would be useful at times for these people(I'm one of those people). I watched this thread initially because it's talking about a class 3...

Even the Enviolo 380 CVT hub is not enough range for some(I heard complaints of people complaining of that system, including professional bike reviewers when riding 28mph bikes). It just doesn't have high enough top speed gearing(versus the regular derailleur system).

The Priority Current with Shimano Inter-5E has 650B tires(not 700c). And we still don't know the chainring & cassette sizes.

That's what I trying to figure out too. I couldn't find it anywhere. I'm only aware of 2 other e-bike models available in North America with the Shimano Inter-5E IGH. It would be possible to change the chainring & cassette within limits.

The equalizer is that you have an e-bike motor to help you both ways in going up hills & go to higher speed. A good powerful motor will compensate for that.

For this level of e-bike, what about allowing the customization of the PAS levels by the user(like with Ride1Up bikes)? Would it be possible in final configuration when it's released?
